This is very disappointing, especially since we recently celebrated my wife's naturalization and the fact that after 10 years here she would now be treated the same as everyone else. By monitoring the search histories and social media accounts of naturalized citizens, aren't they basically saying that naturalized citizens won't be treated as real citizens even though they are?

US citizens cannot be denied entry to the US, even if they aren't in possession of a valid US passport.

There's no general ban for Venezuelan nationals, only a ban on government officials and their immediate family members using B-1 and/or B-2 visas.

Hey, thanks for posting this information. My wife and I have a friend from Venezuela who is going through AOS so we were very curious and a little concerned by Venezuela being the 8th banned country.

But I just saw a report from the BBC that the latest ban's already been blocked by Hawaii

If my immigrant husband had been able to vote, he would have voted for him.  Most of my town did.

Yep, there are quite a few of us that would have if we could. And obviously enough people did or he wouldn't be president.

All my in-laws and friends did. I even thinks the Trump bus was in my town, as I seen some pictures of it on Facebook. I’m pretty sure majority of my town voted for Trump.

Ironic, given the very real crimes Trump's associates have been charged with (and in some cases have already pleaded guilty to). The false equivalency between Clinton and Trump still boggles my mind, both in the media for pushing it, and naive people for believing it. 

 

She was far from the perfect candidate, but an disinterested analysis of Trump's first year in office clearly indicates that he is woefully under qualified for the job. Look no further than Roy Moore to see the kinds of people Republicans are OK pushing who have no place anywhere remotely close to public office.

Eh, I think it isn't about that for some Europeans.  I think when you come from a country whose right wing parties are still left wing, you crave something a little different, ya know?  Like, it is refreshing to see someone not afraid to be politically incorrect and take a harder stand on those who abuse the immigration system.  The quiet murmur that I heard years ago in Scandinavia has gotten louder from people I've never expected because they almost refuse to deport people, will give preference to immigrants over natives who have been on housing waiting lists for years (this isn't public housing either, they are private complexes and have to reserve a certain percentage of apartments now for new immigrants), hide crimes committed by immigrants, and so on.  My husband thinks his home country is a lost cause of political correctness and immigrants who steamroll over the less-confrontational natives.

 

With Trump, some people feel that isn't the case.  I didn't vote for him, but if I was given the choice between 💩 and HRC, I would have gone with 💩.
