I guess I need to wait for the NVC letter so they can do the medical. I think I am figuring this out. My head is spinning. I went from 0 to 100 in about 3 seconds.

They didn’t say anything but they answered my questions at “7” and didn’t ask me to call back on “5”. I think that means the old fashioned mailed.

Unless it depends on the country of origin, I don't think you have to wait for the official letter for them to complete medical. Similar thing happened to us; I happened to call NVC the day after they received our case, and he gave me the case number over the phone. I asked him if the beneficiary could go ahead and move forward with medical and/or interview with the case number, and was advised he could go ahead and complete his medical but would need to wait for the letter for further instructions before scheduling an interview. That was on January 18. He went ahead and scheduled his medical appointment shortly after, which was booked for February 15, and he happened to receive his packet electronically before the medical date. His interview was exactly a week later.

I never received a letter from NVC ...til this day...nothing..

 

I did email them and they replied with our case number. My fiance' took the email and a screenshot of the NVC website to medical. He also took the print out of the scheduled appointment.

Interesting. I thought we needed the letter for the interview. I am still figuring this part out. I took JSCGPV to the airport last night. He parked his car at my place and I drove him to O’Hare. He is on his way to the Philippines as we speak. I hope he gets his approval while they are together.

He is a good guy.  I met him for the first time last night and we could have talked all night.  I met Gina on Skype and he met Rose on FaceTime.  Rose and Gina live in adjacent towns!  It is a smaller world than we think.

I called the doctors office straight after my interview on the 19th March (interview was 2 weeks after the medical on the 5th March) and they said the results were being couriered to the embassy on the 19th too - hopefully they were able to match the approved K1 visa packet to the medical that same day limiting any delay.

 

On CEAC my case creation date has been updated to 21 March and is showing as "Administrative processing" - what does the shift in creation date mean?

 

Any ideas in terms of time lines and the process from here would be awesome

My Visa has been approved at the USEM Lagos after 10 months of incessant anxiety and uncertainty. I was approved in 3mins 46 seconds going by my chronograph. Good luck to other Nigerians out there. You'd come to realise that the anxiety before the interview is unnecessary and a waste of emotions; you'd be approved provided you have a bonafide relationship and can show pictures( they hardly check your call/chat logs)

Factors like taking pics with family might not even matter because a woman was approved without the CO asking for pictures or chat logs. When your relationship is real, they know it from the frontloaded docs. Goodluck to you all.

Yep, this is exactly what happened to us at the Auckland embassy.  Issued 221g at interview pending medical results, which arrived the day after the interview.  Case updated that day and showed AP.  We had to wait for 3 weeks after this point before the visa was issued, unfortunately - hopefully yours will be quicker.  They made it sound like they'd do it whenever they got the medical results but that wasn't the case for us.
