October!!!  Ah, a visitor.  You are actually in good shape as things should settle back down after the May and June challenges.  I doubt if it will get back to 2 to 3 months but 4 is possible.   I believe your timeline will be early March and possibly even late February if you catch a break.  May and June and the first half of July are going to be at the 6 month point (tomorrow is my 6 months) but August will see some improvement and it slowly gets better from there.

Yesterday I got a reply from his office asking for some additional details and I’m going to reply back today. In the past, a congressional inquiry often resulted in action, but I’m not sure how much weight it currently bears. However, in government, the squeaky wheel often gets the grease. We should all send letters to our representatives, regardless where you are in the process. Maybe this will help address some of the issues we are experiencing. 

 

I will volunteer myself to write a generic letter that you can download, print and send. I’ll also post the link to find your congressman/congresswoman for your district. Finally, there is a form that you will have to fill out and sign giving them permission to inquire about your case. I will post the link for that as well. Please note that the letter must be sent by the petitioner, as the beneficiary isn’t considered a constituent....yet:)

 

Let me know if this is something the forum would be interested in doing and I will get started and post later today. Also, send me feedback on what points we want to make regarding the process. Please note that I think it’s imperative that we keep on point with that aspect and not turn it into a witch hunt. Making quantitative points supported by pragmatic solutions will be more effective. 

 

Ill keep an eye on the forum today and if the forum is on board, I’ll write up a generic letter and post it for anyone to use. Fingers crossed that today has more activity than yesterday and many of you receive great news!

 

 

I got my congresswoman from Alabama (my permanent residence is still in AL since I moved to KY for school) about two months ago. Not in hopes of speeding up the process, but rather, to see why USCIS was so backlogged. She has been such a blessing. She checks in on my petition quite often. As of last Monday, my case had no been assigned to an adjudicator. Friday evening I got a call from Mrs. Roby's (my congresswoman) assistant for my region in Alabama, saying that she had spoken to the adjudicator assigned to my case and that we should have an answer by Wednesday this week. It may have been assigned by chance, but I like to think that congressional interest helped :).

Haha ! Yeppers I am indeed  a visitor, I ve been wandering to May, June and soon July filer, to have little feeling of excitement of NOA 2 approval.

 

LOL getting my heart ready for when my time is arrive, I don't want get heart attack xD

but yea I am praying that I will get my NOA 2 at least in March...Oh SANTA please hear my wish ! I've been a good girl this year, haven't I ?!

Yes I'm one of those June 5th untouched.  They left us and other May filers to move on to later June cases. I'm praying for everyone to.

YEP I am glad to find VJ, it helps me to kill my time. I am at work and my working time is 40% VJ, 40 % FB, 10 % reading other stuff online 5 % pretend to work, 5 % really working

 

I am so ready to leave my job

As much as I was excited about June starting, there are so many people struggling in May.

 

Whether it's not having heard back yet, RFE still processing or stuck in AP.

 

It scared me how complicated the process can be.

 

Heartbreaking to watch.  

 

I genuinely hope that it doesn't happen to any of us.

My fiancée is a little bummed with the long wait so I gave her my VJ login details. She has a lot of reading to do when she gets home from work.

 

Hoping and praying that our early June filers get their NOA2's really soon. I guess we won't get ours until after new year's but that's ok.

Yea I found the new page, I hope our day is soon, they touched the one right before ours and some after ours all RFEs so I hope that may be good news for us and approvals soon. I hope they rain or snow approvals it is cold here.     I know we are all in the same boat on this journey and any progress is good after waiting for six months.
