I would think pulling the strip things off his thingies might take care of the whole problem.   As someone that knows many people who have identities that don''t align with their parents expectations knows you will never make everyone happy.  With every handicap you will get some gold digger that wants nothing more then to get their 5 seconds of fame.  My suggestion for the salon would be to find a place that has experience in the procedure and offer a referral to that facility on the theory that their people have not been trained on that exact process and even ask if the customer knows of a place that provide training . .

In many African countries having a formal engagement makes you "married"  to the extent that they won't issue a K1.  Your best bet is to get the laws of where ever that marriage licence is from , highlight was the one he had was never valid.  Does he know if she has married since ?  If she has that might help show them your fiance and her were not married.  

Worse yet , when she tries to adjust through a bigamous marriage it will be denied, she will have overstayed esta and be on the deportation list .  Well hubby could walk away no harm to foul  and she has no status or why of getting status here.
