I don't see it that way. There is no rational explanation. The Government should not be deciding any differently between K1 an CR1/IR1. I don't care what the reason. My Fiancée and I decided our path. The fact is if a US Citizen is petitioning their loved one especially Nuclear Family. It doesn't matter the rationale its wrong period the end.

As @Chia-Lyns pointed out you still not forth coming with the truth....you might be able to pull wool over our eyes because we dont know your case history but you wont be able to do that at the US embassy because they have all your history. You mentioned that you performed traditional rites because your girl got pregnant right? well in US immigration recognizes Traditional/Customary marriages.  Stories about DNA testing are your personal problems, they are not applicable  and to say the least does not concern US immigration. Personally I believe people like you make it hard for your fellow country men to obtain visas .

There is no fiancé visa for a greencard holder. First your friend should find someone to marry- WHether it’s a greencard holder, a US citizen or someone from their country... and then come back here to figure the process out because right now with the info you provided it sounds like your friend is greencard shopping ...

WTH??? It is NORMAL in a country to rain, it is NOT NORMAL for a partner to cheat. If you are the kind of person who does then you are the wrong kind of person...

OP: you were given the right advice in regards to immigration. On the situation, I am sorry you are going through this, having divorced my ex husband because of cheating, I can tell you there are better days ahead. Keep your head up, you deserve all the respect from your partner. Best of luck.

My friend the bottom line is they are looking at the prior petition, the bulk of your response should be directed towards that.  There is really nothing you can do other than addressing  the issues, talking about it won't  help. Use your energy to address the RFE you only have one shot. Beneficiaries having been petitioned multiple times in short time spans is a big deal. They are giving you a chance to explain it to them. Take this chance don't  read into it.

Man! My proof of relationship was nothing fancy like that. Couple photos, airplane tickets and passport stamps. To give you my honest opinion, which you might not like but it’s just what I’m thinking, is, that they want to see evidence of a real bonafide relationship. Pretty simple but where I think the red flag comes from is that she had a prior petitioner last year ? What must they think? She’s trying to find someone to get to the USA at any cost? And now she has another one 6 months from the face to face visit? I’m not sure if Philippines is one of the countries under the “fraud watch” but that would be my guessing. I would personally get statements from your side (Family, friends) and her side notarized.

Hopefully that didn’t come out as rude or anything, just the way I think THEY see it

Depends where you stay I guess like anywhere.
It seems a little different to what I am used to - but not that different to Spain.
I couldn't look less Mexican at 6ft 4, grey beard and hair down past my shoulders.
No one has given me a second look.
I ask my BnB hosts where is safe and follow their lead.

Perhaps its not for everyone. But for me, all I wanted was 14 day stay, hunker down, speak to almost no-one - leave.

In4theJourney reacted to MexicoExpat in Any indication on how consulates will be rescheduling people who had their interviews cancelled?
For reference I am US citizen living in Mexico and my wife from a third country also living in Mexico. We are both Mexican residents and went through DCF here from Mexico City.

We were supposed to have our immigrant visa interview on March 30th in Ciudad Juarez but of course it was cancelled, about a week and a half before it was supposed to take place.

I've been trying without much success to find out how they will handle the people whose interviews were missed due to the virus.

The only logical solution to me would be for us to receive a priority date for the interview as we were so close to our interview date before it was cancelled.

The (not very helpful) help line you can call in Mexico will only tell me it depends on the case but it's likely we will need to reschedule our interview when dates become open on the calendar.

For Mexico you need to watch this calendar like a hawk and check it multiple times per day to get an appointment, and that's in normal times. It will be worse once they haven't taken interviews for 3+ months.

I tried also submitting my question to the consulate but received a notification that I would receive a response in 20-30 business days.

This was posted today on the US Embassy's website for Serbia.  I hope it means that they will begin processing K1 visas!  @Greenbaum, do you know if that's what it means?

Beginning June 1, the Embassy will resume offering appointments for U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and notarial services.

ITIN should not have been eligible in the last round.  Plenty of people complaining about it on here.

Makes it hard to know who is who.

If she is a USC then she should not have an ITIN and have no issue getting a bank account.

The various USCIS field offices in Texas aren't the TSC either.

The Dallas lockbox is it's own thing. It's not a field office, service center, or application support center.

The USCIS Texas Service Center processes various petitions and other forms, but hasn't handled I-129Fs since 2017.

I can only speak for the embassy in Stockholm, but this is a snippit from my communication with them:
Once we can resume visa services, NVC will ship the case to post. Upon receipt, we will email you a checklist that informs applicant of the next step in the process.
So NVC isn't shipping to the embassy until it reopens.
