HonoraryCitizen got a reaction from user54321 in b2 cancelled without just cause. any options?
Anyway to answer OP’s question or to provide some context, people are having their long term B visas revoked at an unprecedented rate. I just happen to know because I researched it about two months ago and alerted my friends and family and even posted about it on a news portal popular in my home country. Just google visa revoked and search under news tab.

They are not only revoking visas upon arrival at USA airports, they’re actually calling people who previously had long term visas at home to come to the embassy and revoking for a variety of reasons including if they think you stayed a bit too long (not overstays) the last time, if you had a baby in the USA, etc. Some people actually got their visas revoked when they simply took their minor children to get visas for them. Of course it is within their absolute right to do so, no question however it’s bewildering.

As has been pointed out, even if your lady didn’t get a 5 year ban for expedited removal, it will be pointless for her to reapply for a nonimmigrant visa (except H1 etc which allow dual intent) probably for the next five years, or at the minimum until this current administration is out of power. They’re taking a real hardline approach to immigration, any hint or smell of a violation of visa terms and you get bounced.

Is there a reason why most (not all) answers to the OPs question are so hostile, unsympathetic and judgmental? Wow! It’s like I can see some schadenfreude oozing out of people’s pores.

Or is OP the same person as @user12 who asked some somewhat strange obfuscating troll-like questions with a supercilious attitude? Because honestly the mockery and hostility is bewildering.

I’m going to guess you are the other numbered “user” who suddenly popped up. asking about a B2 person admitting to cleaning houses.
(Would be very odd to have two different userxxx’s posting consecutively with the same font that differs to what everyone else uses...)
so from the other thread, I'm assuming you think your friend is being detained and questioned

It is listed on I-751 instructions under "Evidence of the relationship".  It's a good idea to read the instructions first.

Submit copies of documents indicating that the marriage upon which you were granted conditional status was entered
in “good faith” and was not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws. Submit copies of as many documents
as you can to establish this fact, to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to
the present date, and to demonstrate any circumstances surrounding the end of the relationship, if it has ended.

That is a ridiculous presumption right out of the gate without even acknowledging what the OP wrote. Have you never had any interaction with government bureaucracies which issues documents before? Do you know the error rates on issuing drivers licenses, marriage certificates, passports, divorce certificates etc? Errors like that happen routinely and in developing economies with inadequate quality control it is not unusual at all. I have had a series of errors on my birth certificate, passport, social security number etc over the past twenty or so years.

Does she have a shot at a U visa? Has she been a victim of crimes who has suffered substantial mental or physical abuse while in the U.S. and willing to assist law enforcement and government officials in the investigation or prosecution of the criminal activity?

You see where we are going with this? Devolving into absurd what ifs and conjecture and grasping at straws that will snap immediately you hold on to them.

Successful Africans I know who have thriving businesses back home have no interest in staying in the USA illegally. And she’s already gotten that prize she came for, American citizenship for her children. 😁.🤣 😁
She better cash in her chips while she’s ahead.

I think under the circumstances you should be ready and willing to play the reentry permit game as long as you can legally get away with it, but then what is the end game?

What you should look at seriously however is that it is unlikely he ever gets a position he wants in the USA because you admit he has stopped looking. You can’t win if you don’t play, and not only has he stopped playing, but with every passing day the odds get slimmer.

I think you both need to address the tough long term question now, it’s not going to get better. It’s either you’re together in the USA, together abroad, or apart and trying to successfully navigate a long distance marriage.

I wish you both a successful resolution.

Not to trivialize your concerns because I know immigration processes are inherently stressful, but are you by nature just a worrier? Because it is evident from the abundance of testimonies on VJ and elsewhere that a good percentage of people do not get instant approvals but are subsequently approved without a hiccup.

What makes you think there is a problem with your case? Nothing at all from what you wrote about your experience.

To be fair I don’t think the OP is complaining about legitimate fees to do with the immigration process like application fees. Everyone who gets into the immigration netherworld knows fees are part of what is.

His gripe seems to be more about unexplained fees which seem to crawl out of the woodwork.

Congratulations on getting your visa and best wishes is reuniting with your significant other soon and I wish you success in your life in the USA.

That said I want to point out that everyone’s experience is different. Someone will front load and not be successful, someone will present only two documents and be successful. And contrary to what you said, some consular officers are looking for any flimsy opportunity to refuse you. That is the reality, not all human beings are good or kind.

You were blessed. We Christians call it grace, and everyone’s grace is different. Many people have genuine marriages and are true Christians but get rejected, so it is not guaranteed. The Lord says he causes it to rain on both the righteous and unrighteous.

    Enjoy your blessings.
