Divorce and move on. It's one of the risks taken when marrying someone from a different country... whether it is a K-1 or CR-1 visa, once the beneficiary has adjusted status/received their residency (GC), without some massive evidence to prove fraud, there's not much you can do and they can continue on their path on their own. Unfortunately, even divorced, you're still on the hook for their affidavit of support (I-864).

More planning should have been done in advance. I personally am tired of seeing people going through this process only to realize later that at every stage it costs, one - money, two, they have to be able to sponsor and prove financially they can support someone. If someone can't even afford the AOS fees and prove sponsorship, how are they honestly bothering to keep up a foreign relationship and international travel? Plan a head!!

This is just the I-129f petition. This is stage one, next NVC then embassy. USCIS petition phase is the easy part.

OP, have your husband file I-130. Visit during the process, realize most of us here know all about distance. It's part of the process. Than vaccinate those kiddos.

Nor does it guarantee any success if the reason for the K-1's denial is not addressed/fixed.

Which is why the cost of AOS should be factored into the initial budget of the visa. If I had a dollar for every post I’ve read on here where the poster can’t afford/didn’t prepare for the cost of AOS....I’d retire tomorrow.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from mogiftney in RFE for meeting in last 2 years: does this mean our lawyer messed up?
Affidavits can help but more so in proof of relationship, not meeting.

Also I didn't have the boarding passes themselves either, I actually just showed the itenerary and it was enough but the more the better.

And  lawyers really just get in the way and slow things down. USCIS contacts them then they contact you and then back to them and then to USCIS where are you can go straight to the source. Plus lawyers have no influence on USCIS or the embassy. So really they don't help at all but take your money haha.

Lawyers tend to just complicate things. Proof of meeting together is things like passport copies showing entry/exit dates, hotel receipts, boarding passes for planes, receipts of purchases while there or credit card statements.

Photos are merely secondary evidence. And just telling them dates doesn't prove anything.

So seems your lawyer clearly doesn't have any idea what was to be submitted initially.

Ben&Zian got a reaction from Pitaya in How long is k1 visa in 'Administrative Processing' after approval?
AP varies case by case. Generally in UK seems to be relatively short like the Philippines is, but again can last awhile depending on circumstances. There are people who get stuck in AP for years.

Highly suggest you go to the Portals tab and goto the Nigeria forum and read country specific cases about denials and their reasons why. Also study the immigration guides.

Well as matching mostly with you, white, Republican (not so conservative hah) and in Texas, I have to agree with others. I have not seen much on this either. I really think it's more speculation than anything. If it isn't direct from USCIS then I wouldn't pay any attention. You know how the media, even 'reliable' media has one or two people running around trying to scare everyone.
