He doesn't want to come to the US. He's asked you to cancel the process. He wants a divorce and not continue with this relationship. Just follow his request to cancel the process, and get divorced.
It hurts, but sadly you not wanting a divorce will not stop him from getting one.
Do not lie to any part of the US government it will not end well for you. Which you would have to do and have him also lie in order to get a visa at this point.

Here's what could happen if you get divorced and do not request a cancellation by contacting the embassy where his file is.  At the spousal visa interview, they may ask him about your marriage relationship, questions about you, and review all his answers on the DS-260.  If he is not truthful and tells the officer that he is married when in fact he is divorced, that is a serious misrepresentation, a federal offense.  If he is ever caught, his visa could be revoked and he could be deported for the misrepresentation.  It could also be considered fraud and you could be implicated if you knowingly let him proceed on the basis of a marriage that has been terminated.  Also consider that if he comes to the US with a spousal visa, you are on the hook for the I-864 even after you divorce.  Why take all these risks?  If you don't want a divorce, all you can do is talk to him about it.  If he wants a divorce and you don't, he'll eventually get his divorce.  If you love him, respect his decision and let him go.  So sorry you are dealing with all of this.  Good luck!

Better, for you,  that this was discovered before filing for Adjustment of Status.   Good luck.  I hope you find happiness soon.  Prepare for a VAWA claim against you.  I would avoid all face-to-face contact with him.

See a lawyer. I have seen this up close with my former Russian wife's friends. You are in for a rough ride. Never be alone with her from now on. It is highly doubtful that you will be able to get an annulment. Chances are she has been coached up and you will have to provide support. I am sorry to sound harsh but I have seen this too many times not to comment. Good Luck.

Some of you are talking about Arbery coming after the guys with guns.  I am a woman and have never had any trouble with the law.  But if two men were pointing guns at me and I thought I was going to be killed I would try to fight too.  In my opinion he was fighting for his life. These guys should be in prison for the rest of their lives.

Again and again, Biden’s relationship with black Americans, like the Democratic National Committee’s relationship, has been patronizing at best and actively harmful at worst.

Biden’s friendship with one black person does not mean that he’s a friend to black people

Some black people will support Biden because of his association with Barack Obama – even though Obama himself doesn’t seem especially excited about Biden becoming president. The Obama days feel distant yet warm compared to Donald Trump’s current presidency. But remember: Biden cycled millions of black people in and out of jail, voted for massive numbers of poor people to go to war in Iraq, threw Anita Hill under the bus to confirm a conservative justice to the US supreme court, and, under Obama’s administration, helped to deport millions of immigrants and bombed brown countries. When Biden was vice-president, black home ownership and wealth declined significantly, even as it rose for other races. Biden’s friendship with one black person does not mean that he’s a friend to black people.

Im sorry for both of you. I completely know how you feel because I had an interview 3 years ago for my first green card. It was awful. We both were super upset because the interviewer was doing the same. But i thought the result would be bad too but turned out my case was approved. I think if you told her  the truth and you did nothing wrong. You will be fine. Dont worry and stay positive!

You are limited to 2 fiance visa petitions in your lifetime, after that it requires a waiver.  I just had my 4th petition approved (one of them never made to visa issuance as I cancelled it between petition approval and arriving at the foreign consulate).  My fiance now is scheduled to interview next Tuesday.  My first foreign spouse wasn't a scam, we have 2 children together and were married 5 years when she decided it wasn't what she wanted.  I currently have custody of the kids but she's very much a part of their (our) life.  My second foreign fiance, after nearly a year online and 15 days together admitted she had another boyfriend, only after she get pregnant by him - petition approved but cancelled.  Third foreign fiance happened while I was still emotionally ransacked by the second.  We were a horrible fit, realized it after getting married (ok, in fairness, there were signs prior to marriage, I was just blind to them).  Not saying she was a scammer but ultimately our relationship (me) couldn't withstand her dishonesty and jealousy.  Fourth fiance was a friend long ago.  We became friends, lost contact when we both had marriages that fell apart eventually, reconnected and realized we could be more than friends so we decided to venture down this path, yet again.  I wouldn't do this again with someone who wasn't already a friend first.  It's too hard when you can't tell what is what because during the "dating" period everyone wears a mask.

Side note, my sister and her husband lived together for 3 years prior to marriage.  Both at different times have commented to me how much things changed after marriage.  They both felt the other changed significantly, even after a 5 year relationship with 3 years living together.  Sometimes marriages fail not because of scams, but because things change, people change.

Yes, I do believe there are scammers.  Yes, America is perceived by many as the land of milk and honey.  Many of us (primarily those from 3rd world countries, not necessarily western Europe and other wealthy countries) would fight to get here if we weren't already here, yet we judge others who do.  Whether a person is from the USA, Africa, Asia, or anywhere else money has an allure and people are attracted to it.  It doesn't mean they're a scammer.  Wealth is power, generally people are attracted to power.  People almost universally would prefer more money over less money.  It's when they lie, cheat, and steal that it's an issue.  Just because someone is from Thailand, Philippines, Ethiopia, or Sudan doesn't make them dishonest.  Just because someone is from the USA, Canada, the UK or Japan doesn't make them honest.  Good and bad can be found anywhere.  Unfortunately the money difference causes a lot of problems, but desire for money doesn't make someone bad; lying, cheating and stealing do.

It sucks to know that a lot use U.S citizens as green card tickets, breaking their hearts by pretending to be in love,  but to say that they have to be desperate to migrate from certain countries is a gross understatement.
Marriage is one of the ''easiest'' (arguably)  and fastest ways to get there and apply for citizenship, escape poverty and violence. They're even protected in case they file for a divorce stating ''things just didn't work out'' and get to stay, as long as they prove it was entered in good faith. All evidence created by the spouse, inadvertently.

The problem is, common sense goes out of the window when someone is feeling lonely/desperate enough. Then comes someone that tells them sweet nothings and they fall in love. They tend to ignore most red flags (high fraud country, constantly asking for money, huge age disparity, an urgency to move to the U.S, certain lies, etc) because well, they're in love. Love isn't logical. We go to great lengths and risk a lot for what we believe is real.

Although it's impossible to 100% determine if someone is being dishonest or using you in all cases, my recommendation is to spend as much time together as possible and be vigilant for red flags. I know it hurts to find out someone you love and trust can be scamming you,  but it's worse to find out too late.  So pay attention to other people's experiences. My husband and I had the luxury of starting our relationship in a very normal way. We dated months in person and even lived together for a little while, got engaged and then we decided to live together in the U.S, so we filed for a CR1. It's been a year and a half of long distance so far, with constant traveling to see each other. Face time is definitely important.

Uhm no. As a foreigner I would NOT want to abandon my life, my job, etc for a whole year just to see if my relationship works out. That would be easy for USC since they are home. K1 IS 90 days for a reason. No one forces you to marry that fast but the idea is that you're suppose to get to know each other before k1 arrival.
