Hello, I am a green card holder and I try to travel every 6 months to the US as my husband lives outside of the US so I spend more of my time with him. Last time I travelled, I was out of the US for 8-9 months and the immigration officer was displeased but I expressed to him my situation and he understood. That was March 30th, 2024. I am travelling to the US on September 28th, 2024. That is just 5 months and 29 days since I travelled to the US. 182 days ago. Do you think I will run into issues if I am travelling exactly on the 6 month mark?

I agree with the above, you're really risking your status and I don't understand why you've been out of the US for another 6 months when you've already been told you're cutting it fine.

What evidence do you have that the US is your permanent home?

No one here is going to recommend that you continue to do that.  Green cards are for living in the US.  If you don't wish to live in the US, why do that?

And - if you are sponsoring your husband, how are you going to meet the US based income requirements?

You're playing a dangerous game that no-one will advise you to continue.

The GC you are holding, and the basis on which you are petitioning your husband, is for LIVING in the US.  Your admittance to the border official that you're effectively living overseas and not in the US will have likely been noted.

You might want to re-familiarize yourself with your obligations as an LPR:  https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-we-grant-your-green-card/maintaining-permanent-residence

How can you spend months outside of US? How do you pay your bills, rent etc?

Exactly my question and one that will factor in when the spouse wants to immigrate.

Additionally, depending on the country, it's often easier to upgrade a petition from a FP category to an IR category.  However, the current LPR hasn't met and continues to sabotage their potential naturalization path, keeping their spouse in a FP category.
