I appreciate the idea of this thread but "America first" sounds like a right wing, nationalist slogan and I squirm at hearing it. Especially since one of the reasons for rooting for Biden was him doing something about climate change and rejoining the WHO, which is about helping other countries, not putting America first. So all the lesties that don't mind nationalist slogans, enjoy this thread, I'll be out

I agree with your sentiment, the American First idea is in contrast to the Donald Trump wins again thread that appears to go on for four years.

I don't want a Biden wins again because it is not about a leader winning.

It's not about American exceptionalism, it's about beating the virus, helping small business and economic strained families, getting started on a transformation to a green economy.

If you can come up with a better thread theme, I will support it!.

Just like the Trump wins again thread, let's come together and celebrate all if the ways Biden is helping America win. I mean it would be wrong to break with tradition.

First reply in and already offense is taken at the very idea of a President prioritizing the country he's President of. 😂

Well you have already stated that you hate anything to do with being American and patriotism so this is nothing new.

OK, I'll bite.

I hate nationalism. That doesn't mean I hate any particular country. Nuance is needed.

I love all countries in the world and I think they're equally important. Neither the US, nor my home country is more important than other countries.

This will be my last post in this thread.

For the record you are the one that brought up nationalism not I dear sir.

Also for the record I love the "America First" policy and nationalism in general. Why would we not put our own country first before other countries?

That is the issue with the Left, they think America First means America alone.

Unfortunately that is what Trump has shown us for 4 years now. From walls to Tariffs to pulling out of agreements to alienating allies. Your assertion is flat out wrong. It's not actually the left that thinks that way.

Have you seen the terms of most of those agreements?  The Paris farce is a great example.  The US gets taken advantage of by every country and Trump tried to remedy that as much as possible.  Personally not a big fan of tariffs, but they have a purpose.  Oh well, we get to look forward to a much weaker US, sure the global governments all like that, but is it good for the US?

When Biden follows through on his promises to raise the Capital gains tax to 40%, Increases the minimum wage to $15 an hour and pours another $1.9 Trillion into the economy, I hope you'll come back and give us a Dow Jones update.
