What do you look forward to/love the most in America?

As JFH said above - the fact you can travel within the same country and you can go surfing or skiing is amazing. Also I love the food and the variety you get in supermarkets (I'm in NYC and from England) and the local delis. I love the diversity of people and how to the point they are here in NY (took a little while to get used to ha).

Lot's of opportunities!

I love living here! It takes a little bit to settle in and I still am but I am very grateful to be able to be here with my husband ❤️

I'm from Canada, so the culture shock wasn't as great for me as it is for a lot of other people. I still experienced a bit of it though. But I have to say that I LOVE LA's multiculturalism. There are so many cultures here that aren't as prominent in Toronto, even though Toronto is also very multicultural. And I originally came to LA to go to film school (like so many people who go to LA). I love being in the heart of the entertainment industry. Getting a career in the entertainment industry is HARD. I have yet to do anything professional, but I'm very fortunate because I still have a good day job and am actively pursuing opportunities to get my entertainment career going because I haven't given up on it yet.

Ever since I met my husband, we've been able to go to other states too, which I'd never really done before. We've visited most of the Southwest, New York state, Florida. We have yet to visit Hawaii (would love a vacation there), the PNW (some friends live there). I love how the USA is really big and has such a variety of climates, cultures, landscapes, etc to visit and explore.

moved from Taiwan to SoCal then Hawaii!

Best part of the states is.... not as crowded as Taiwan, I get to enjoy all the space and cultural diversity!

🇺🇸 N-400 Info for Taiwan 🇹🇼
A USA citizenship applicant who was born in Taiwan may indicate Taiwan as the country of birth on their Form N-400 if he or she shows supporting evidence. Such applicants’ Certificates of Citizenship are issued showing Taiwan as country of birth. USCIS does not issue certificates showing “Taiwan, PRC,” “Taiwan, China,” “Taiwan, Republic of China,” or “Taiwan, ROC.” People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the country name used for applicants born in the PRC. (see USCIS reference: part K chapter 2 footnote 4)

Living in Washington has been the best part of my time here in the US (apart from obviously settling and starting my life with my husband)

I was never a hiker or outdoorsy person but living in the Pacific Northwest has given me such an appreciation for it. It’s just stunning all year round. It definitely made the pandemic easier to handle as we were able to keep ourselves busy by being outside!

apart from that, I enjoy the people for the most part. The food has just left me missing home I’d I’m honest, but everything else is great ❤️

It's really hard to find a better weather than coastal Southern California. The close proximity to amazing national parks (where you can go see snow after going to the beach) is amazing - Yosemite, Sequoia National Park, King's Canyon, Death Valley. I will never get tired of looking at giant trees.

Being a Native California, I couldn't agree with you more.  You forgot to mention In-n-Out burger! 😆

Vancouver, WA here.  The PNW is definitely a place of uniqueness.  I wish my wife had the same feeling as you, she hates the weather here, haha.

In-N-Out is fine but not much of my thing. But I know people like it. I like the choice of restaurants and food from all over the world here. It can be quite an adventure.

The variety of food is incredible -- but only if you live in the big cities. Being in a larger west coast city gives me access to cuisines from around the world. I had also lived in small midwest towns (albeit college towns) before and it was a lot harder to find decent non-American restaurants.
