I hadn't monitored my status for a while since we were in the process of moving. But today I got my new card! 

LIN - filed December 7- NOA January 30

 

Just in time for me to file for citizenship this week 🤣

Hi All

Just wanted to share - re LIN Service Centre

 

I received a letter in the mail today  11/04/2021 notifying me that " Your conditional permanent resident status is extended for 24 months from the expiration date on you Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card", which is due to expire in Feb 2021. The Notice was dated 10/27/2021. 

 

The initial notice of action sent on 01/21/2021 granted an extension of 18 months ( I filed my application for ROC on 12/15/2021) This notice today extends that date by another 6 months. 

 

I have not received or heard anything in between these 2 notices. 

Good thing come to those who wait and all 🤣! While trying not to loose their minds

 

Congrats to all of late who have received their cards 💞

I just got that same letter. I was so confused haha. I had my biometrics taken 9/30 so I thought it would have been a letter for an interview.

  I'm at the Vermont Service Center.

 

Received a letter on 11/08/21 dated 11/01/21 that extends Conditional Resident Status for 24 months.  So, we have an additional 6 months past the original 18-month extension.  

 

We've had no other communication since the original 18-month extension; the plan is to apply for citizenship in March.  

 

Congrats to those of you who have received your cards…keep holding on to the rest of you who are still waiting!

My question is do we know you can apply for citizenship if you are still waiting for renewal? Or do you have to wait until it is successfully renewed?

Yes you can apply for citizenship while the I-751 is still pending. There are many cases on VJ about this. If the I-751 is still pending at the time of your N-400 interview, you will have a dual interview (because technically ROC has to be approved before citizenship). It is also possible that you will received the 10 year greencard while the N-400 is pending.

My application was received on Dec 3rd last year and was approved on the end of June with no interview.

My application was received on Dec. 29 2020, and was officially approved Jan. 4th 2022 (1 year and 7 days laters). I checked online and they have ordered new card!.

 

Now it's time to apply for citizenship!

Did anyone that had to get Biometrics hear anything after that? I can see from the December 2020 filers doc that most people had biometrics waived. I had my Biometrics taken on 9/20/21 and have heard nothing since. I am just wondering if applying biometrics seem to delay things longer.

I had biometrics done in July, my status didn’t update until November now sits as “ready to schedule for interview”.

Wanted to share the great news with all of you!!!

 

We were just living our lives as usual and to our surprise, my husband's removal of conditions was approved!

 

The letter, dated January 11th, was received on January 15th followed by his Green Card on January 18th.  

 

Biometrics were waived and no interview; just a little over a year of waiting on some movement at the Vermont Service Center.

 

To those of you still waiting, keep the faith; it will happen when you least expect it.

 

He's eligible to apply for citizenship next month, so onward to the last part of this journey from here!
