There has been absolutely no evidence to suggest that as of now...the news media has an agenda...relax and wait....I have seen an email from a consulate which stated that visa holders are fine.........we shall see soon.

Plenty of articles yesterday speculated that immediate family members wouldn’t be exempted.

for what it’s worth, the News wires which are being briefed by anonymous officials seem to all have reported that immediate relatives of USCs will be exempted, whether they published today or yesterday (if I’m wrong please let me know)

irrespective, this is ongoing and still being drafted. Things changing on the fly. Keep it together the best you’re able

the reports have consistently said USC spouses and children wouldnt be affected, can you show anything where this is contradicted ?

"Refugees and asylum seekers would not be affected by the order, or would spouses and children of U.S. citizens or permanent residents."

i dont see anything here other than an inference by the writer that it would mean all green cards, when its been stated there will be exemptions.

This is literally what is driving me nuts atm. It seems all media have different sources or different levels of imagination. I hope that EO is out soon so we will know the actual depth of this restriction.

Stay safe, Matt

Many key details of Trump’s planned executive order are still not known, but one U.S. Department of Homeland Security official who requested anonymity said it would only apply to people applying for permanent residence from outside the United States, not those already in the country seeking to adjust their status.

Understandable, i have a hard time believing they will block direct family based applications, i think its all more targetted at people purely coming to work in US.

Well that would still not be so good.

Hello everyone I have returned from the US Embassy, I was not able to speak with a consul, however, they took my passport, letter and inquiry about renewing my Visa, after a couple of minutes they said it was NOT necessary for me to go there as they will contact us all Immigrants soon, as such they returned my items, I inquired the security staff who was going back and forth with us and said it was about a Visa extension due to the current circumstances; They also have me a phone number and extension to keep in touch.

That scares me, the fact they're going to 'contact immigrants soon'...
