  1. Yes. The letter actually was addressed from Washington DC. I have not heard anything since.
  2. I agree. Especially an embassy like HMC in Vietnam. If they doubt you even before your interview which is common your in for a battle.
  3. Oh I see. Ours is at NVC embassy stage so I am thinking it will be a much longer wait
  4. Also I want ask was that NOID from the embassy itself or the USCIS service center? I don't understand how they can think everyone is a criminal and a liar to these ppl it seems. I try to think positive but its your whole future coming down to 1 or 2 officers. Thats too much power IMO.
  5. 4 weeks! That is really fast. I was told about 8 months. Thank you for the encouragement. The bad news is I cant make a trip to see her until January at the earliest.
  6. Sent another email to embassy to ask them to please review the case again if possible. The congressional response said in general that the officer recommended it be sent back. The status still says refused in AP as did their previous emails. Administrative Processing 221g. I think it is still there and I hope so. When the status changes or I get word that it was sent back I will file a FOIA to get the consular notes and prepare to appeal it. Thats all we got to do. I already have a lawyer picked out and will consult with him the next 2 weeks. Atleast this thread helps me talk about it lol. Trying to stay positive. Thanks for the replies members.
  7. At this time that is not possible. Economically speaking it would be hard to make the same amount that I make here but it maybe something consider in the near future. This system is so broken its hard to believe.
  8. Thanks for reply. The inquiry response said is in the process of being return but could take several weeks to finalize.
  9. My mind is scrambling right now. The wiki guide says to contact the embassy immediately before they send it back. Can you do this and speak to the senior officer? I also did the congressional inquiry that is how I found out they were going to send it back. At this stage what to do?
  10. Incase anyone is wondering the first 221g blue slip received stated they did not think our relationship was real. I will be interested to see if they state the reasons why
  11. Sry this link. https://www.visajourney.com/wiki/returning_petitions_to_uscis_via_221g/
  12. In the link I posted it says to file a FOIA. But anyone know when to exactly file this FOIA? To find out why? During the wait for the NOID?
  13. Ok thanks. I thought so I wasn't sure. I found the Visa Journey wiki on Noids. Is this still valid?
  14. Just got word from a congressional inquirey. Been in AP since June 5th. Bummed out they are returning the case file to USCIS. As I have read this is hard to overcome. Will they send why specifically it was denied? And can it be appealed? Has anyone had success with this and if there are any threads on this can someone share the links to them. Thanks
  15. Cat is this really that common? Or is it country specific. I have read the opposite that it is not that common.
  16. After going through this process that news is not surprising. Do you know if he eventually got out of AP? Sometimes I read its normal sometimes I read its not. Do they really send the file to other agencies for security checks?
  17. Thanks for the positive words. I hope so too.
  18. Are you in administrative processing too Liam? I think you are correct because my wife's original 1rst interview was less then 3 minutes long and was handed a 221g and they looked at nothing. I don't know how immigration got like this but it needs more checks and balances. IMO Seems the majority are suffering with this just because of a few bad apples.
  19. No Stein sorry to confuse. I do not live there in Vietnam. I understand their suspicions but it is not warranted but they don't know that. They are just doing there jobs as officers. The family tree thing was a head scratcher. I will wait until the 90 day mark then contact again. I would think if we were a strait intend to reject then they would have done so. Our relationship is not rainbows and butterflies just like anyone else but its real lol I wanted to post topic to see if anyone actually gets out of AP in Vietnam for spouse visas
  20. Thank you for rey. She is my wife. We have no other ties through friends or family. The only tie is my dad was over there during the war. That is it.
