Makes absolutely no sense, RFE requests for additional documents are NEVER done over the phone and are NEVER sent to Texas

@payxibkawhat do you suggest we do? Because I am really worried and confused

Do you know the case #? If you do, what are the first three letters?

YMMV

We don’t have a case number yet, we are supposed to get a receipt num from the USCIS when they acknowledge receipt of the application. But the USCIS is yet to send us a Num for our case. The only way we can track our case now is through my fiancé social security num.

My fiancé filed our K1 petition to the USCIS Local office in Arizona instead of the Texas office and this has caused a delay in the receipt of our NOA1. How do we with the first application to refile a new one?

You can't withdraw something that was never accepted initially.   Just submit the new petition the correct way

If the petition was sent to the wrong office, USCIS would reroute it to the correct office. You don’t need to refile anything.

If that were true,  the OP would have had resolution 5 months ago

I'd recommend that you review your bank statement to determine if the fee has been deducted. If not, then put a stop payment on it. If you have a copy of everything you sent to AZ, then make another copy and resubmit to the TX address with a new payment: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/direct-filing-addresses-form-i-129f-petition-alien-fiancee

Do yourself a favour and follow this. Your application is probably lost as it can be and waiting any longer is a pure waste of time.

Please also take time and read this

also read the official instructions on the USCIS page to make sure you get the up to date forms and instructions. It seems that this didn't happened before otherwise the application would have never ended up in Arizona.

Feel free to come back and ask further questions and also check in the monthly threads for K1 filers here on VJ. That will help a lot 😊

@payxibkaThere isn’t more to the story, It’s happening just exactly as I stated. It’s due to this reason I had to go online to search for solutions to see what we may have probably done wrong before I stumbled on this website and decided to sign up. Thank God it has been helpful

From their previous post, it looks like there were more issues than sending it to the wrong office. They mailed only the form with money order to their local office, then when they called USCIS in February they were told that there were documents missing, which they mailed later.

I would send a new, COMPLETE packet to the correct mailing address. Their first attempt sounds like a total mess.

I agree!

I agree the first application is a total wash, submit a fresh application paying CLOSER attention to details!!!!! Perhaps a little more reading about the process before you send in the application again!!!!

Did you see this post from the OP?  They received the petition, and USCIS requested more documents....I think USCIS is processing the original one.

"@Lucky CatWhen we my fiancé submitted the application, he submitted just the form and money order without attaching other documents. Like evidence of our relationship, letter of intention, and passport photograph. So when he called USCIS office those were the documents they requested for, which he had to send in immediately "
