They’d get even less from the US given it doesn’t recognise titles at all

Well it has a different system, I think they will e OK.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I have wondered this too. Did he have a CR-1 already? They have not been married for 2 years yet so it won’t be an IR-1. Perhaps that was his reason for returning to London early March - to attend his medical and interview in London and receive his visa.

Although my money is on an investor visa.

I am more annoyed that they took a private plane whilst lambasting the average British worker for taking one overseas vacation each year. Rules for thee, not for me...

I think they have a two fold problem Megan is still in the process of getting uk visa and has residency requirements to forfill there too

I think any "problems" they encounter will be minimal.

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

I read in a British tabloid (so the veracity of it is questionable) that Meghan had abandoned her application for permanent residency in the UK. The UK had served its purpose for her - she got a wedding and her house renovations paid by the taxpayer, had a baby there and then she was off.

Well she can make a lot more money in the US than Canada and pay for their private security.

They probably didn't like that the RCMP protection ended.

They fly around a lot, so there is nowhere that they have been that long.

It doesn't matter to me at all what visa they are on in which country or how they enter. Their process is their process, just like my process is my process. And they'll be paying for their own security. I mean, there's no way LA or Malibu or the State of California is going to cough up any money for that if they're going to make their home base here, rather than just on a brief visit. So... who cares? If a family can be together and be happy, sounds good to me.

That article also states that he could enter as a tourist and adjust. So they clearly don’t know what they are talking about.

Exactly, he would use the VWP.

We could say that about anyone else on this forum - their process isn’t my process either. I don’t think anyone is seriously spending hours musing on his visa journey and which route he took. It’s just idle gossip. Us Brits especially love a bit of gossip about the royals. It’s how we do.

This is just the COVID-19 version of the local pub or garden fence.

Wonder how he would respond to the question on the ESTA relating to past drug use?

Probably the same as pretty much everybody else who used drugs.

:) I have so much Harry and Meghan gossip that comes up in my Google News feed and though I know I should not click on any of it because it just makes the problem worse, I end up clicking on it. And making the gossip in my feed multiply even more.

Was there a video? I seem to recall a video. There was of course this: https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2002/jan/13/monarchy.antonybarnett
