We got a hospital bill from when my husband was here so we will unfortunately have to put down a debt 😬 But, we have way more savings than the debt is and my husband already has a job offer for when he gets here so I hope we should be good

So, at the bottom of the form PART#9 DECLARANT SIGNATURE. Is that the person that filled the form (Petitioner), or is it the beneficiary? This form is confusing.

Hi everyone, this morning I emailed our consulate (Stockholm) to see if they are requiring DS5540 at interviews, even if DQd before Feb 24 and here is their response, they are requiring it unless it has already been collected by NVC. Even if you were DQ before Feb 24 I would bring DS5540 to your interview just to be safe and contact your consulate to see what they are requiring you do to for it

Our case was reviewed by NVC, first submission is Dec 24th. We got RFE 😢

They need our co sponsor's W2 (we only submitted Tax Transcript). Second submission Feb 28.

I am surprised they would ask for it. The official site mentioned that they prefer tax return transcript over tax return & W2.

W-2 is required for Married Filing Jointly tax returns since they can't see the individual income on the transcript.

My point exactly!!! Some questions don't make any sense, especially Part 4 where it asks to list the tax returns filed for the last 3 years......HOW IN THE WORLD is an beneficiary supposed to file 3 years of taxes when they're not even in the US????? They obviously rushed this form just to get it passed quickly.

I guess that applies if the usc filed married jointly 🤷‍♀️
