Hi guys, i have asked this question on the main forum as well. I am a Canadian Pakistani. I live in Canada now.  I was Born in Pakistan. Now for the DS 260 question what do i put it there ? Country of origin/ Nationality Pakistan or Canada?  I am at the NVC stage with interview in Montreal.  I am getting confused for this question. If someone can answer that.

Well all my previous documents were approved, and the CEAC page has every section as 'Accepted'.... however even though we put forward formal documentation stating an extension for 2018 taxes had been submitted, they still have asked for them.

However the document that we submitted outlining the extension from the accountancy firm is still marked as 'submitted', so it does not look like it has been reviewed like my other documents.

On to my 4th time submitting....I hate this.

Hi everyone!

The CEAC system has now opened up for us, and I have completed the IV Immigrant Application. It was very long, and the website shut down several times, in the longest section too, mind you haha! But I was finally able to submit it last night. Now I have begun uploading the IV civil documents, and I noticed that there is a section for "optional documents". Does anyone know what to add there? Is it necessary or helpful in any way to add anything beyond the requirements? Maybe "couple photographs" from trips, events, family gatherings etc.? I don't know.

I just needed to add police certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate, photocopy of passport bio data page and passport photo. However, I believe that I would need to submit my spouse's divorce papers from her previous marriage too, possibly under "optional documents"? Any advice?

Confused :(

We added divorce degrees, my (petitioner) birth certificate and picture of passport Page. Under the financial part in optional documents, we also added my 2018 W2 even though we uploaded transcript and my paystubs, employment verification letter from employer.

My first time posting but I have been reading through and getting useful informations.

My I130 for my wife has been approved and sent to NVC, its over 2 months now but I have not heard or received any notification from the NVC. I became a citizen 3 weeks ago and I have also notified them by email, NVCINQUIRY and their portal ASK NVC but they have not said anything to me.  Call to their numbers don't go through.

Please what am I supposed to do now or is there a better way to contact the NVC

You get through NVC on the phone. You call.. if you hear a ring stay on. If you don't hear a ring hang up. Keep trying. Once you  hear a ring just hit 1 to listen to the menu options.

Calling NVC does not help! They don't tell you anything specific. They just regurgitate a stupid script they have in front of them or refer you to a generic website with maximum timelines!

Depends on who you get. When I first submitted the lady was nice and went down all my documents reading out loud what it was. I had called earlier today because nothing has happened since I got DQ'd and I have an expedite on conditions.  This one read the email sent between the expedite request and the reply. She went over the details of what I submitted, she didn't know what was the hold up. She transferred it to a supervisor. Told me to call back on Tuesday.

So it depends. This old lady was old... I stuttered one of my numbers and I apologized which lead to a short conversation on data entry and she mentioned she used to deal with punch cards in the mid 70s She had heart.

Again your experience may vary. Acknowledge them as humans and make a connection you will get answers at the very least some effort.

And the guy wants to know if they got the case at all. His efforts in the other mediums didn't get a result. So for his purpose yes. He will get what he wants to know. If they got the case.

Yeah I guess it depends and I never said they weren't nice! It just the folks I get appear to have limited knowledge and never tell me anything I didn't already know  :( In fact, I just called one today and the same script unfolded... "We're working on docs submitted Aug 16th... go to this website...its' updated every Monday, etc... etc.."

Hello all!

Anyone here encountered an issue where the added Joint Sponsor (including its uploaded files) suddenly disappeared on CEAC page?

3 days ago we received a notice that our case status has been updated.  Me(beneficiary) and the primary sponsor’s uploaded files changed from submitted to “ACCEPTED” status. But suddenly the record of our Joint Sponsor disappeared.

We called the NVC about this issue and the Customer Service said that they don’t know what happened too. The first CS told us that the best thing to do is to wait for now because it’s currently on the review team. But the other CS we called told us that the best thing to do is to re-upload our Joint Sponsor’s files, but we’re worried that it might reset the processing time.

We are currently frustrated with the situation 😔
What do you think is the best thing to do?
