  1. Hello all! Anyone here encountered an issue where the added Joint Sponsor (including its uploaded files) suddenly disappeared on CEAC page? 3 days ago we received a notice that our case status has been updated. Me(beneficiary) and the primary sponsor’s uploaded files changed from submitted to “ACCEPTED” status. But suddenly the record of our Joint Sponsor disappeared. We called the NVC about this issue and the Customer Service said that they don’t know what happened too. The first CS told us that the best thing to do is to wait for now because it’s currently on the review team. But the other CS we called told us that the best thing to do is to re-upload our Joint Sponsor’s files, but we’re worried that it might reset the processing time. We are currently frustrated with the situation 😔 What do you think is the best thing to do?
  2. Hi fellow visajourney family, I’d really appreciate your help. Just wanted to ask how you guys filled out the I-864 and uploaded on CEAC (NVC stage) Did you download the form from this link? https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-864.pdf?download=1 And did you fill out using Adobe, print the form, sign it with ink, scan the printed and signed form —then uploaded it to CEAC? Thanks in advanced!
  3. Hi everyone, Just wanted to ask how you guys uploaded your tax transcripts and W-2s to CEAC (NVC stage)? Did you upload a separate file for each year? Example: 2016 Tax Transcript (1 PDF file) 2017 Tax Transcript (1 PDF file) 2018 Tax Transcript (1 PDF file) 2016 W-2 (1 PDF file) 2017 W-2 (1 PDF file) 2018 W-2 (1 PDF file) Thank you so much in advanced!
  4. Thanks so much for your response. Would you happen to know the best option for my situation? Should I provide them at least an explanation that I just started self-employment this January 2019, that’s why I don’t have Schedule C or self-employment tax return record yet? Or should I also submit anything that supports that I am self-employed, such as monthly earnings and invoices from clients? We’re just trying to avoid getting RFE at this point. Thanks again.
  5. Hi everyone, I'd appreciate if someone can help me with my questions! A little background about me: I started graphic design freelancing on Upwork Platform this year January 2019. My current self-employment income is not sufficient to meet the I-864 poverty guidelines. Luckily, my brother who is employed within a company, is willing to be my joint sponsor. And his income alone is enough to cover the poverty guidelines. My question is, what evidence of income should I provide as a self-employed? I don't have a Schedule C or 1099 yet, since I only started earning as a freelancer this January 2019. Should I at least provide a monthly earnings or invoice from my freelancing services? Thanks in advanced!
  6. Hello everyone! Wonder if someone could help me with my questions: I (the petitioner), am filing an i-864 for my (beneficiary). My current tax filing status is “Married Filing Separately”. I am planning to submit 3 years tax transcript and recent pay stubs. Would those be sufficient? Or do I need to submit W2’s as well? My brother (joint sponsor) Tax filing status: “Single”, is also submitting 3 years tax transcript and recent paystubs. Would he also need to submit W2’s? Thank you in advanced!!
  7. Hi! I just have some questions about Form i-864 and i-864A. I, (the petitioner) my current income is not enough so I would need a co-sponsor for the Affidavit of Support (for CR1-spousal visa) I live with my family (father, brother), my brother is willing to be a co-sponsor and use his income to help me(the petitioner) to meet the income requirements for I-864. My brother and I live in the same house, but we file our taxes independently every year. Given the situations above, here are some questions I have: 1. Which form should my brother use? I-864 (Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA) OR I-864A (Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member)? I’m a little confused with the term “household”, if it means that an household member is someone who you claim as a dependent on taxes. OR if it simply means that an “household member” is any family member that lives on the same address as I do. 2. Also, my brother’s filing status is Single. Aside from tax transcripts, will he need to submit paystub or w2’s? 3. I, the (petitioner), my filing status for 2018 tax return is Married Filing Separately (because my husband is overseas) I’m also planning to submit 3yrs tax transcripts. Aside from that, do I also need to submit paystub or w2’s? Thank you in advanced!
