Please don't keep submitting I129F. Ever since you guys started flooding with this loophole, NSC processing time has shifted backwards, affecting all the other folks who didn't submit I129Fs.

A statement backed by no facts of any effects on the timeline. Clearly you shouldn't be telling anyone not to do anything unless it's illegal. I'm pretty sure it's against the terms of service of the forum.

Totally agree! The I-129F route is available and provided for under the law, and I see no reason why we shouldn’t go for it especially if it gives us a chance to be with our loved ones sooner.

Do whatever you want, but stop publicly telling yourself these things just to justify this. People who don't file for a K3 also want to be with their loved ones as soon as possible. Just because the law allows you to do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Especially when you know K3's are going to be denied anyway.

Nebraska’s processing times have always been the longest and have consistently becoming increasingly longer, way before the I129f loophole was ever a thing. The processing times is from the lack of care and efficiency by USCIS and NSC’s employees and leaders, always has been for years, and always will be. Don’t push the blame and scapegoat the wrong reason and wrong people. Push for change by those who actually are at fault instead, aka USCIS and NSC

The facts are timelines are increasing. Obviously, this has multiple reasons, but it's a fact that having them process extra paperwork in the form of a K3, that everyone knows is going to be denied anyway, will definitely increase workload. It's hard to measure how much impact this is in the grand scheme of things, but telling yourself is has no impact at all is just playing dumb.

Also, I find this: "Clearly you shouldn't be telling anyone not to do anything unless it's illegal. I'm pretty sure it's against the terms of service of the forum." hilarious because of the sheer hypocrisy. 🤣

Again, do whatever you want because it's technically not illegal and nobody can't stop your from doing it, but stop telling people off who have a problem with it. The only one you are convincing is yourself.

Crazy thought here.... but have you..... (wait for it)........ (wait for it)...... CONSIDERED APPLYING FOR THE K3 TO SPEED UP YOUR OWN PROCESS, INSTEAD OF CHASTISING OTHERS?

I have, but didn't think it was fair so I opted not to. I was approved last month after 355 days.

But thanks for the great advice!

Who is using this? My case was updated on https://myaccount.uscis.gov/ but not on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

I'm not sure which one to believe.

The myaccount one says my I130 was approved. I guess I'll wait for USCIS snail mail.

Confused happy

My case was never updated on this website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) either, but I got an email confirmation of my approval.

How did you know when your case was sent to NVC? That’s a little scary to be awaiting and to check the website and nothing and only to find it’s at NVC. Horrible on USCIS part. Not good for the awaiting families... ugh!!!

The USCIS emailed me when then mailed my approved petition to the NVC, but I had to call the NVC to find out when they received it.

Hey y'all,

This is my first time posting, but I just got my i-130 approved (recently filed a i-129f) so I would like to share my info so I can add some more data points for you all:

Our CR1 Journey So Far:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 25 2019: Sent I-130 package
  • March 11 2019: I130 NOA1 (Nebraska Service Center)
  • Sep 10 2019: Sent I-129f
  • Sep 20 2019: I-129f NOA1
  • Oct 26 2019: I-130 NOA2 (Approved via email - 229 days from NOA1)

Looks like the I-129f still expedites the process. I was expecting the I-129f denial any day now as our turn was coming up based on the info posted by you guys! Thank you all for posting about it, we really needed help as we are stuck abroad and pregnant! :)

Now I need to get organized for the next stage!

I believe the I-129F sped up my timeline as well.

Thanks for the confirmation. I got the 130 approval in 129F denial in mail. The egov website (does not always update) is probably not a good way to evaluate the K3s efficacy.
