Were you using the current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (USCIS does not test forms in anything else)?

And did you make sure you filled out any related questions that might affect whether or not a question was relevant?

Its okay, i figured it out now

Hi guys,

I sent my AOS packet on July 3rd to USCIS Chicago lockbox. They received it on Monday July 8th. I wrote a check for $1225. It's July 17th and I still have not seen my check deposited nor have I received my NOA1. I'm starting to get concerned as I have seen others received their notification fairly soon after arrival. My wife's K1 validity ended this past Monday July 15th. Should I be worried and reach out to USCIS? Thanks for all your help.

Does anyone know a way to print a shorter version of tax returns from turbotax?

Regular print is very long.

Thanks

Try getting your tax transcripts from the IRS instead of your returns. They're almost always much shorter than your 1040+W2s+all schedulues.

AOS filers - This video is very helpful.

As helpful as this may seem, remember this is now 2 years old and from the old forms and evidence required has changed. Also this is a representation of a slightly different AOS process + additional filers on the same application. Although this looks exceptionally organized just remember to read all the requirements for K1 -AOS process or the one the is for your particular situation.

Agreed. This video is very helpful organization-wise, but I would not suggest to follow it based on paperwork. Processes are updating constantly and one of those forms used in the video is outdated and no longer used. It's best to follow the instructions for each form and the breakdowns provided here in VJ for what supporting documents to send.

Hi everyone! Just filling all required forms for AOS, and i have one question. So, here it's a question: '' Have you ever applied for an immigrant visa to obtain permanent resident status at consulate abroad?'' Should i say Yes for K-1 visa or no, because it's not really immigrant?

that would be a no since K1 is a non immigrant.

also, another quiestion, sorry for bothering you :( I had a translation of my birth certificate and police certificate, but our consulate took it and never gave back. Should i have another police certificate? Because it's easy to do in states translation of my birth certificate, but it's kind of hard to have a police certificate here :(

No worries! You won't need your police certificate for AOS so you should be fine with just your birth certificate and new translation.

OK guys, I'm looking at timelines and notice that most received confirmation that their 485 was received within 2-5 days either with text or letter. Ours was delivered on 7/10/19 but we haven't received anything official yet. It is time to start calling?
