Just a note -- I have been going through other months' threads to see how this process pans out, and wishing I had done that BEFORE sending mine in. From what I can see, most folks do NOT receive RFE, but those who do, some are for not showing proof of long-term financial comingling despite having joint leases, mortgages, cars, etc. Those are folks who only submitted 1-2 months worth of bank account statements or credit card statements showing joint finances. (We sent the most recent 3 months of credit card and joint checking...now I'm wishing we had sent all 24 months worth, trees & forests be damned.)

So just word to the wise, if you haven't sent in yet --- when in doubt, just send in copies of statements for every single month from time of opening joint bank account (and/or joint credit card) to now.

This is exactly what I did...sent in bank statements from every month just to be on the safe side. So far, no RFE and my case is currently at the "ready to be scheduled for interview" stage, so I'm assuming I will not get an RFE.

Well, back again! Its been a nice two years of not having to worry about paperwork and RFEs, but here we go!

I technically could have filed in June (I believe my window opened on the 21st), but work got a little crazy and I also tried to be strategic about when I sent everything in because I knew we were going away this week and didn't want to potentially have to reschedule biometrics. I felt like we (comparitively) went a little light on evidence - especially seeing the pictures of the boxes people have sent - but the envelope was still a little over 3 pounds when it was weighed at the post office. Packet went out today and should be delivered by Wednesday.

Good luck to everyone! I'll make sure to keep things updated to help with the processing tracking project.

So you applied for ROC in April and already scheduling for the interview? Wow that is fast! What office is that?

Just because the case is ready for an interview, does not mean that they'll get an interview anytime soon. The wait time for their local office could easily be well over a year.

Ah, good to know. I thought once they're scheduling you for an interview, then everything goes super fast... I see now.

Mine were also 10 pages long each and I thought sending all of them was unnecessary so I did some research and touched base with a friend who went through the process (he used an immigration attorney, I did not) and found they have accepted it in the past if you send one statement per quarter. So what I decided to do with that information was send one statement from every 3 month period since we got married, so they can see that we have maintained the same bank account with both our names on it since we got married. I did the same with the utility bills because some of them were 5+ pages long, I only sent one bill invoice from every 3 month period, which included vehicle/mortgage statements (both in both our names), our cable bill (in my husband's name), power (in my name), and trash (in both our names).

Sent ours in yesterday due to arrive today by 3p. Ours was huge. We used a medium Fedex box. We sent in all bank statements and then as much as we could of everything else. Fingers now crossed for 18 months. I'll keep updating!

I think that among the criterias of primary evidence that need to be shown by the applicant, namely Finances (taxes and bank statements), Liabilities (loans, joint purchase of assets, bills), Insurance (health and life) and Legal Responsibilities (Ownership of property, wills, POA, children), the officers have to be able to see at least some convincing evidence out of each category in order to be able to approve the application off the bat. That’s just my personal opinion though.

getting worried now if I filed everything correctly. Mine reached PO Box Phoenix on July 3rd. no text notification or check cashed 😞

The only good thing is I have some left on my green card expiry (Sep 12). so even if something is wrong, i may be able to fix the issue!

I definitely agree, but I also feel strongly that people who are submitting their evidence put a lot of weight on the quantity of evidence and not always the content of what they are actually submitting. If you don't have a good selection of good quality evidence that speaks to not just the co-mingling of finances but of your life, then submitting 24 10-page bank statements isn't going to help you to prove anything. This is also just my personal opinion though.
