Hi everyone,

I didn’t see a July thread yet so I figured it’s time to create one. My 90 day window opens towards the end of the month and I will be sending in my documents as soon as possible. I don’t nearly have as much evidence as it is suggested in some of the guides here, but I really think those are super overkill unless your case had red flags.

I look forward to meeting the rest of you!

I agree about the evidence. We're not sending much either. My conditional green card was approved with tax returns and lease agreements only.

That is what I'm sending for ROC:

  • I-751 signed by both
  • $680 cheque
  • Copy of the green card
  • Copy of US citizen passport
  • Marriage certificate
  • Birth certificate of our daughter
  • Tax returns filing jointly for 2016, 2017, and extension for 2018
  • W2 for 2016, 2017, and 2018
  • Lease agreement showing both names for 2016, 2017, and 2018
  • Copies of medical insurance cards for 2018 and 2019
  • Some photos (about 5-6)

Even then it looks like a lot!

That looks pretty good to me already. Our paperwork will look very similar, except for the addition of a few insurance policies, bank accounts and credit cards that are jointly owned and operated.

Best of luck!

My window for filing opened at the very end of June and I will be sending in my package shortly. Just have a question about putting it all together. I've attached a photo. Do you think this is fine or should I get it hole-punched at the top and use an ACCO fastener?

Thanks and good luck to everyone else filing!

I sent mine on Saturday and it was picked up from the PO Box in Dallas on Tuesday morning. I certainly didn’t expect a response so early, especially with the holiday. I would give it a few more days!

You probably sent it to Phoenix, like me. Dallas and Phoenix probably process things a bit differently. I'm hopeful that next week we'll get updates! I don’t know if your method of payment has anything to do with how fast they accept your case either but I paid with a cashier’s check from my bank this time, which may have helped me get a response faster. I know it took me longer to receive the text for my AOS and I received it after the transaction was pending in my account, I had paid with a regular check that time. I don’t know for sure though, just speculation!

Submitted ours today! We could have been June filers, but a delay in getting affidavits from friends and also lack of having fasteners in the appropriate size meant we were delayed to today! We sent Express USPS ($$$ yikes) to Dallas so that it will be there Monday 7/8 but I know that that won't matter in the long run in terms of how long it takes to process the application!
