Yeah we sent our aos, but it took a while to arrive since we didnt do expedit shipping. so it arrived monday 20th (thats what the status says too).

Also atleast youre still in status.. my k1 was over beginning of may :(.

Still haven't received NOA1. But i called today and they gave me my receipt number. They told me they mailed the biometrics notice yesterday. And that they will put in an inquiry regarding us not receiving NOA1. The payment went through yesterday as well. But i have not received NOA1 or email or text.. and i included the electronic notice in my AOS packet (3 actually, one for each form AOS/EAD/AP). Any way less worried now, i just hope the Biometrics notice isn't lost like the NOA1.

Finally got my NOA1 at midnight, took around 14 days.

 

I have a question for people who live in Texas/border states. My husband and I are planning to travel to the state in the next couple months to check out some areas, specifically Austin, to move to. This will likely be before my interview/ I know that Texas has internal checkpoints/I have heard of people checking legal status even at airports.

 

Will i be okay with an expired I-94 but a pending AOS? If i bring my passport, marriage cert, NOA1, etc

I've read that people have been fine crossing checkpoints with their expired Visa stamp and the AOS NOA1. I live in San Antonio so we will probably be testing that theory coming in a few months when we visit my family in the valley.

Quick question. When we filled out our apps we put my parents address in Philadelphia as mailing address, while the physical address is in NYC. (Moving soon so didn’t want important mail getting lost). Would or app be processed in PA or NY office? If anyone had any experience with this situation.  Thanks in advance.

You should be okay with a copy. Best to keep your originals safely stored.

Hi everyone!

 

My husband just had his biometric appointment this morning!

He said everything went smoothly. Got there about 15 minutes before the appointment, asked for his appointment letter and id. Stamped his appointment letter and gave it back to him for our records. They scanned his fingerprints and off he went. He said it only took about 5-10 minutes!
