I would do the CR1 visa. That would be the next step.

It sucks that you have to wait another 5-7 for that CR1 visa to be processed but nothing worth having comes easy

It won't be 5-7 months.  It will be at least a year.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Your claim about denying to see if a couple comes back is completely false.  On shat are you basing thIs kind of statement??

its not a false statement. before judging someone's knowledge or what they actually learned during a process that maybe you dont know then maybe you should listen.....that statement came from DOS itself! when i was researching my previous case.....take it for what its worth. not all embassies treat files in this manner. but dealing with Casablanca personally - THEY DO! if they have reasons to suspect anything or if they themselves dont believe in the relationship even tho all evidence points to a yes.

Jan was in the biz, so somebody at the Consulate told you this was why they did it.

so you got denied for your k1 the first time and you are doing another k1??? your timeline doesnt clearly say you applied twice. and why would you do another k1? just wondering.  also did you visit your fiance more inbetween the last k1 and this one? just wondering.

This is a process I am extremely familiar with, thank you.  No Embassy should do this.  Please provide the statement from DOS where they said they do this; perhaps there is a different interpretation to what they said?  Saying they deny a case if they have reasons to suspect something or don't believe in a relationship is a far cry from saying they will deny a case just to see if the applicants will continue to pursue it.

Cr1 is the best route I believe. From what I see they are not giving out very many K1 visas in Morocco right now. The only problem is I know she will need to get some documents from the US. I don't know if she has access to that there? I filed a K1 and from what I have read I am starting to regret it. All I can do now is wait and refile a Cr1 if we are denied.

My fiancé was denied his visa today at the interview..

We are both so heartbroken..

When will I get a formal response with a reason?

Should I spend money on appeal?

How long will that process take?

or just do a marriage visa?

I can’t even think right now, just didn’t know where else to go for help/Support :(

OP if you are still coming back to your post....weeding through all this advise is entertaining for me but I do have a question....did your SO get a 221 handed to him? and what was checked? Was there anything written on it? K 1 visa does not get "denied" so you dont file for an appeal with more fees. It will be sent back to die.  If you "just do a marriage visa" as you wrote, you might be denied for the same problem with the k1. So talk with your SO about what was asked and said in the interview. Try to figure out why. Get more face time with your SO. Spend time in Morocco getting to know each other.  There is a different reality of living with a person as a oppose to dreamily talking on the phone or texting each other for hours. See if marriage is  in your future for your future...not for a CR1.  Hope this helps.

He did receive the 221 I apologize for my mistake in using the word denied.. There was nothing “checked” on it.. I find it truly insulting that you would say things like ‘dreamily talking’ you have No idea who I am or what my relationship is like.. This comment was neither helpful or needed.

I totally agree! Being in a high fraud country I'm sure they have seen every trick in the book which makes it extremely difficult to weed out the bad from the good. But think about this - this is also a very poor country. Sometimes they do deny couples just to see if they come back. If you come back then you must be a genuine bonifide couple to be fighting this hard to be together - not to mention now there is money for the country. It could be an unlimited supply of funds considering how many people pay anything it takes or constantly reapply for petitions...

The money goes to the US not the country. This is not a money generating scheme for foreign countries.
