He’s going back to US today (getting further away from me :( ). In the beginning we were not so sure about this route because we’re not planning to stay in US for too long, we like Croatia more than US (he’s half Croatian). We wanted to get married in Croatia but then they’re asking for a letter saying I’m single and I’m free to get married. I was born a muslim and the government is making it hard here in Malaysia to even get the letter. If we want to get married here, he need to covert his religion first (which I found it ridiculous!) But this waiting game is making it harder for us now. I don’t really have any family member or friends, so I’m starting to get depressed now because the distance and not having anyone to talk to. Sometimes I’ll cry and cry thinking about these things. I kinda feel like this universe is totally against me. Ivan hates seeing me crying because it will make him sad too. We’re now considering to get married here in Malaysia (he’ll convert back in US for the sake of making it easier) and get married here, and move back to Croatia if we didn’t get approved by next week. It’s a critical time for us as my apartment lease is ending now and I don’t want to renew the contract again as it will be a whole year again, I won’t get my deposit back if I didn’t finish my contract and the work place just gone bankrupt.

Sorry for the long post but do know I do appreciate every single kind words from all of you here! ❤️

Please hang in there and don’t give up! We are all on the same journey, and need to be strong for each other. I have many moments like these, and others can attest to having these stressful moments as well. What matters most? Love and neither a process nor a person will stop it! Prayers prayers for you and us on here as a family 🙏🏽❤️😓

@Daniel P, Carol got her NOA2 today. She says she checked on the USCIS site Her Noa1 is Oct 25. I am assuming she saw the update on the new website because your scans didn't show a Oct 25 approval. Correct?

Correct, It must have been updated only on the new website

Mid-day scans ? They are the highlight of my day ! I guess I will have to wait to the end of day scans. Thank you for your time Daniel . It is not your obligation to do this so for this a sincere thank you! I am on day 180 but am relatively calm at this point my philosophy is that if I get an RFE , or a denial I will just try again and if that does not work I will move to another country with my fiancé. Remembering that if the plan A does not work I will come up with a new plan . I have been away from my fiancé for  3 years most of which I have been sick .In 3 years I have only seen him 15 days but for some reason I do not feel apart . I have been so blessed to have survived mental and physical problems that this seems not such a problem . The sun shines and the clouds rain on everyone so I wait . I would be naive to think I would be privileged in anyway. Just expressing myself a bit .

I'm sorry, since my last post yesterday I couldn't get on the computer until just now . I'll run a mid-day scan always I can, but today I just couldn't. Tomorrow I'll try to ;)

So my fiance and I had been going crazy lately with this visa situation. Like so many of you, we were loosing patience and even faith in the process. We were bickering about the stupidest bs; it's so hard looking forward to a wedding you can't even plan with unknown dates. She has it worse 'cause at least I'm Stateside with our 5 year old (a citizen by birthright).

The stress is overwhelming as all of you here know.

So today I get a notification from the app. Excited at first to see USCIS, a total disappointment when I read that its just that cases like ours  are moving forward. Big effin whoop.

But I opened the app anyway and voila big surprise! "Your case is approved." No request for info, just flat out approved!!! Needless to say, we are thrilled.

Hold on there you October filers. Yours too will come. After so many months waiting, these last days are agonizing, but THE ARE THE LAST.

Got to give a shout out to the agency I paid for the process (RapidVisa). A little more costly than filing myself but they have a proven track record and truly won't let the package out of their hands until it's thoroughly reviewed and most likely to be approved. Also being able to pay on an installment plan made things so much easier.

CONGRATS!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference between a Request for Additional Evidence and a Request for Initial Evidence?
