  1. Question: We have submitted an original copy of the marraige certificate in our AOS petition, but the interview letter is asking for one also, do we have to get another one to bring to the interview?
  2. This maybe a silly question, I have my AOS interview scheduled for July 24th. Will EAD and AP applications get canceled by themselves if I recieve the GC, or do I have to do anything to notify USCIS that I don't need them anymore?
  3. I recieved that notice two weeks ago, a week later it switched to "interview has been scheduled", thats the notice you are waiting for. I got super lucky with my service center being San Bernandino, since apparently they don't have a big backlog.
  4. Yeah I figured, just wanted to be extra sure. It also asks for a marriage certificate, we submited an original with the petition, do we need to get another one to bring to the interview?
  5. Just got my I-797C notice of action (AOS interview letter) Neither me or my spuce have ever been arrested or have a court record, on the notice it says: "If no court record is available, bring a letter from he court with jurisdiction indicating this" Does that mean we still have to go and get a letter stating that he has never been arrested? (also not sure how I would go about doing this since in Serbia you have to request this in person)
  6. Za "nase" ako su u blizini juzne Kalifornije, ako vam zapadne San Bernadino service centar kada budete radili AOS (za one koji dolaze preko k1) moze da vas zadesi sreca kao mene danas. Case recieved - 21mart, Biometrics - 26 april pre nedelju dana status se promeni na Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview (u zavisnosti gde ste ovo moze da vam stoji i po godinu dana) danas pokaze ovo: Interview Was Scheduled On June 14, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC19---------------. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
  7. Oh my god! I am in such a shock right now... Ca service center is showing wait times from 10.5 to 42.5 months, and we applied in march 2019! The travel document case number is still showing recieved, and work authorisation is at: fingerpring review was completed (not sure if that has any influence now) Haven't moved since filing the AOS
  8. @Jaquelly So today I noticed this: Interview Was Scheduled On June 14, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC--------. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. Is this the magic one that everyone waits for?
  9. I applied for AOS (along with work permit and travel authorisation), on March 31st I recieved my case number that I can track. I have three case numbers for the three petitions. Today I checked and saw this: Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview As of May 31, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC--------------, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. Aplication for travel document still says recieved, and work authorisation is at "fingerprint review was completed" Am I missing something or is this normal? I didn't expect the AOS to be ready for the interview for another year or so?
  11. Joining you guys on the AOS journey, we waited a bit more than usual in order to get the taxes for last year set and add them as evidence, but now the packet is on the way. Let's hope for no rfe's for any of us!
  12. Me and my husband got married within the 90 day mark and are getting ready to file the AOS, she is living with us and is recieveing SSI, on the USCIS website is says: Please note that Medicare, Social Security Retirement (SSA) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) are not considered means-tested benefits. However, Supplemental Social Security Income (SSI) is considered a means-tested benefit. My husband did claim her has a dependant in his last years taxes, but with him filing taxes as married for the first time, he will not be claiming her this year. What (if any) effect will her recieving the benefits have on the ongoing immigration journey?
