Thank you! You too.! The worst thing is not knowing. If they at least told us an estimated time frame then it would be easier. Having zero clue if it'll be days or months until an interview is excruciating! It's hard to spend this much time apart.

The speed at which your AOS interview is scheduled is a function of your local office, so no, not strange.  People at fast offices often get a GC before their EAD/AP combo card (rendering the latter unnecessary).  Go check out the K-1 AOS forums.

No, that happens sometimes. AOS is processed separately and by a different office than EAD/AP. A lot of people have said they've gotten their green card before ever getting their combo. Consider yourself lucky

Just checking in...nothing new on this end just waiting for a response from

USCIS regarding our lawsuit. They have 60

days to respond so we should hear something by the end of September. Suspect after such a long delay with our case that they may just deny...at least we should have an answer soon so we can move on to plan B.

Wow...it's been a long time since I checked in with my fellow June 2017 filers

 

A lot has happened since then. Maricel and I arrived in the US on April 18th, and got married on June 16th. I filed her AOS last month and received a RFE for the affidavit of support last week. I sent back the info that they wanted and am in the waiting process again. We went to her biometrics appointment yesterday (August 24th) in St. Louis.

Thanks for the update. I was just checking back in after a while and I'm sorry about the results of your K-1. You have an amazing attitude about the whole thing. Congratulations on your wedding 🙂. I'm glad you're ready with your CR-1 - should be much better results this time.

It was very fast and professional. We actually showed up an hour before our appointment, and were finished 15 minutes later.

We are getting an RFE! After 441 days! 🤯 Now to wait and see what it is!
