I put in the 3 numbers. One says finger prints was received. The other number says travel was approved. The other number just says your card was sent to you on August 31st, please allow 30 days to receive it. Green card? I also talked to another teir,2. He said they no longer let you withdraw a I-864. He says I Can Still Try To Fight it, but highly unlikely. . He said mail a letter, not email, so it will be on file. He says there is always a interview before green card is given. I told him I know of cases where that's not the case. He Said Impossible. So, I'm sending a letter and trying to get a appointment for local office.

Ok, thanks, is there a way I can check status of it now online.. I know she checks it. I think it's to late to call them today to pull it. I hope tomorrow isn't too late to call. It's gonna get real ugly after I do that. I wish there was another way, I put so much time, effort, emotions and money into this. I still love her, but do feel used and unappreciated. I think sometimes maybe I should of done this or said that. I guess that's normal.

Can't you check the browser history of the laptop she's using to check it online?

You've heard everybody's advice using their gut feeling and based on what you've described, now let's use something scientific.

In economy, there's what we call law of diminishing marginal utility. In layman's term, your satisfaction using a certain product will decline as you continue using it. Example, if you bought an ice cream and it didn't taste good at first, it's taste won't improve while you're consuming it, it would be the exact same flavor and even worst, so might as well throw it.

Translated into your relationship, if she did not appreciate you during the first few months of your marriage and accused you of abuse, all the more that she won't appreciate you in the long run. Marriage is for better and for poorer, not just the fun times, traveling, or getting a GC. In addition to that, marrying for the purposes of getting a green card is considered FRAUD.

No matter what anybody say here, it's still your decision to make. I wish you luck and a less stressful life.

Or just immature, childish behavior.

I wouldn't disagree with you. Haha

This situation enrages me as a feminist. There are women who are actually being abused who are not listened to, but this happens, and because of patriarchal views he is being blamed.... AGHakladh This is why we need feminism.

But at least if she is out of the house, she is no longer your issue... be persistent and pull the app, and then she is out of your life forever!

I'm not being vague. She gets the mail, I have seen no other paperwork. I work 6 days a week. When I first sent the AOS, I got a text saying they received it. I also got 3 different numbers. I put all 3 in and that is exactly what I got. One said we got your finger prints. The other two I said in other post as I read them. It doesn't say your green card was mailed out. It says your card was mailed out on August 31st, please allow 30 days to receive it. If your address has changed, contact us.Ya, I figured that's why she texted me that about the police. I'm not surprised at this point after what she said about metal abuse and gas lighting. This is a nightmare.

You better go home and check if there is any valuable stuff missing, document it and file a police report as well.

Hopefully she just took her own stuff, not clean out your whole house.

To add on:

Close any joint bank account/credit card with her immediately.

The one where it says fingerprint fee received is the case for the Green Card

Yep, sounds like she is moving to the VAWA strategy.

It is absolutely amazing how the actions and events can be predicted in cases like this.

Certain a regular, common scenario. I have lost track of how many similar cases I have seen on here.

This one hits all the norms. Although sometime they are not quite so obvious from Day 1.

There is such a thing as hold mail at the post office and pick it up once a month. Or even having your mail in the mailbox in the post office.

OP should consider involving his local representative (senator or congressman's immigration aide) to pull I-864 as he says USCIS is adamant it can't be rescinded.

A quick divorce and notifying USCIS of it could work. She may or may not fight it as she can file for VAWA without being married.
