This is the US government you are dealing with. They can look at your face book ( even it is marked private) and your emails and text messages. Share a picture of you two celebrating your wedding and it could be brought out at your interview. Because you are communicating with a foreign national seeking the quick and easy path to the US poking into private messages is allowed and has increased over the years,

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

It very much can lead to deportation and getting annoyed for someone telling you this shows you have no intellect or ability to process what you plan to do is just wrong. Being marked to a USC does not make any difference they will deport her if she's committed immigration fraud. Also, depending where she is coming from they will align her name up with marital records and if she gets caught it will be bad for both her and you.

Get on out of here with that fear mongering #######. my wife WOULD not be deported if she arrived on a k1 and they somehow found out we got married over there while i was visiting. Goodness get real

Smdh... if you are not scared then go ahead... We will be here to read about it.

Even people who have lied to the point of getting citizenship got their citizenship revoked for a lie (fraud) they told earlier.

There's a visa for married people. You should withdraw your I-129F and file an I-130 after your small ceremony. :)

This case: K1 visa denied because US consulate found out they were married after filing I-129F petition.

This is the perfect link that should answer the OP's question. Wide range of situations and answers.

They can, but they don't. At least they didn't before the San Bernardino shootings last year. USCIS said they actually don't look at social media when processing K-1 visa applications. That's a security problem now... Maybe they've changed policies since then due to that security problem.

Just wondering- why did you ask this question? Are you not familiar with VJ? Anyone who has checked this forum out just a couple times would know the replies you'd get to your inquiry...

Maybe USCIS doesn't do it for petitions, but embassies certainly DO check social media and have for a long time. Many stories here on VJ about people seeing private facebook stuff of theirs in the IOs lap.
