Those who've had interview - frontloading, good or bad?

Hello new friends,

I sent my I-129F off Wednesday. I was so proud of myself for front-loading my petition with the following information:

 

A print out of video chat records.

A screen shot of the total texts sent between us.

A letter from my mother saying she is happy and accepts my fiance into our family.

A 5 page print-out of texts between us - just for evidence I guess...

I included my flight receipts for those two trips I have already purchased (I am visiting again in 4 weeks and also in June/July.)

 

my question? I have recently been told it is a really bad idea to front load. I am scared now. I am hoping to hear from those of you with experience - who have already reached the interview stage, perhaps - about whether you believe this is very harmful? I feel that this sort of information should be pinned for everyone to see :/ If it really is that detrimental.

In this thread, if you read the whole thing. I don't want to pick at anyone, really. I just want to know honestly if I have hurt my case by doing the very thing I thought was the best for my fiance and I.

I am a worrier (okay, a big worrier) and I just want to know what most of you think. I want to know your experiences.

The only negatives are if you either A) go way overboard (nobody wants to look at 500+ pages of text messages, or have them cherry pick random tidbits), or B) include something that hurts your case (i.e. "unofficial" wedding plans abroad), or maybe C) if it looks like you're desperate or hiding something (although I don't personally subscribe to this theory).

 

Nothing you mentioned appears to fall anywhere in the ballpark of this.

In short, you have nothing to worry about.

The advice that has concerned you is as incorrect and as reckless as any could ever be.

It was very stressful putting that petition together.... weeks of relentless work as you know. I worked diligently and I will sleep better knowing that I didn't send us off to our own noose!

What you included was entirely reasonable.

The "face time" with your intended will go many, many miles in your favor at the eventual visa interview.

Meanwhile, read the reviews from folks who have interviewed at your embassy, for tips and insights.

I front loaded and though they never give you feedback regarding what they liked and what no one looked at, I felt it made the process, especially the interview easier. 

 

What I did wonder about was your not mentioning photos or past trips.  Those would be helpful.

Did you submit any documents of showing any face to face in the last 2 years?  

 

When I 1st read "I included my flight receipts for those two trips I have already purchased (I am visiting again in 4 weeks and also in June/July.)" I exclued the word "again." and was thinking you two have never met. You do need to submitt the proof of physcally seeing one another in the last 2 years.

 

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

it also depends on the country. Some are a lot harder to get visa approved then others and frontloading is a good ideal

 Me and my wife  actually sent in a lot for her petition even thou we really did not need too

I don’t think front loading is a great idea, quality over quantity. For example I included an excel timeline of our relationship with 20 key dates. I labeled those key events 1-20 and printed photos that tied out to those events. Instead of 1,300 pages of chat logs print a selection of dates. 

 

Put yourself in the position of the person looking at your file. Overload with papers would make me more suspicious of the case.

Of course of course, yes the in person meeting I have as well. What I mentioned above was just in addition at the very back of my packet.

I think what  you are talking about is  going overboard extreme

 I believe the op was talking about adding a little more then is needed, big difference

You included this excel document with your I-129F?

By definition, that is front-loading. Am I wrong?

What you are saying is quality over quantity. You are not saying don't front-load.

Of course yes. Sorry I should have made that more clear. I'm speaking specifically about additional relationship evidence.
