  1. There was a discussion on this topic some time ago here:
  2. 30 days is just the first step in requirements. He has to fulfill the rest which is, if you scroll down the same page: The driver must be a United States citizen or have lawful status in the United States. Georgia law does not allow non-US citizens, non-resident drivers to operate a motor vehicle if he or she does not have lawful status in the United States. Non-US citizens are required to present valid immigration documents in person at a Customer Service Center to prove their identity and lawful status in the United States. Original immigration documentation must be submitted each time a service is requested pertaining to a driver’s license or identification card. Visit Real ID Requirements for more information. When you click on Real ID requirements for proof of status, the list of documents is there, none of which in my view are applicable to OP which means they have to wait to receive EAD Or GC.
  3. ~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to USCIS forum as the question is about USCIS, not K1 specifically ~~ Answering inquiries of those calling USCIS more in depth compared to Tier 1.
  4. ~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to AOS K1 as the question is about post K1/now AOS process ~~ Have a look at this guide as well, it helped us put everything together
  5. ~~ Topic moved from K1 Progress Reports to Process ~~ Ours was 38 pages, no RFEs.
  6. Yes, I’m aware. They send that to everyone. They don’t however send you an email when they receive your case form USCIS and assign you a case number. That you have to reach out and find out.
  7. Oh this is not the first time we don’t answer his inquiries to his liking.
  8. You don’t get to dictate who can and cannot respond to your post. This is a public forum and it’s a violation of TOS to tell others to stop posting. FYI you agreed to the TOS when you signed up.
  9. Yes, they will take a while to answer. You can find current response timeframes for NVC here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
  10. ~~ Topic moved from K1 Progress Reports to Process ~~ NVC does not send out an email informing you of your case number. You will have to contact them and find out that information. It will be One case number.
  11. ~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to Moving to the US and your New Life in America where similar topics are discussed ~~
  12. Current wait times for a tourist visa appointment in Manila: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
  13. ~~ Duplicate thread removed. Please do not start multiple threads asking same or related questions- that is considered spamming. ~~ the letter did say something and a member above asked you to show us so we can better help. Otherwise it’s very hard to give any advice.
  14. Don’t worry, not a big deal at all and won’t cause issues. There is a June 2022 filers group, feel free to join:
  15. No, they won’t email you with you case number. They will only email when your case is sent from NVC to the consulate. If you want to know the case number, you need to contact them through the public inquiry form. As of 6-JUN-22, we are responding to inquiries received on 15-APR-22. We will update this information every week. We ask that you make a subsequent inquiry only if you do not receive a response to your email within our published timeframe above. Duplicate inquiries slow our ability to respond to you in a timely manner. Current case creation time frame: As of 6-JUN-22, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 17-MAY-22. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
  16. ~~ Duplicate thread removed. Please do not start multiple threads asking same or related questions - that is considered spamming. Please post further questions here ONLY ~~
  17. You have been given solid advice in your last thread. Did you follow that advice?
  18. They give that to almost everyone unless you were interviewed by a supervisor who can approve on the spot.
  19. Zimbabwean citizens need a visa to transit though Ireland: Transit Visa Required Countries Afghanistan Albania Cuba Democratic Republic of Congo Eritrea Ethiopia* Georgia Ghana Iran Iraq Lebanon Moldova Nigeria Somalia Sri Lanka Ukraine Zimbabwe https://www.irishimmigration.ie/at-the-border/transit-including-transfer-visa-advice/#transit
  20. Guess what - @JeanneAdil knows exactly how it is. They were in a very similar situation with a large age gap and fiancé/husband from a North African country (Morocco). They were denied for a K1. Had to reapply for CR1. The whole thing took 6 years I believe. So if someone knows and should be listened to in regards to this case it’s certainly her. UK couples do not remotely get a fraction of scrutiny people face in most other countries .
  21. Intent to get married is perfectly fine and legal. Thousands have come to the US, gotten married and departed to their countries to complete consular processing. What is not allowed is intent to adjust status when you’re coming on a non-immigrant visa.
