  1. Another thread merged. Do not start new threads when you have an existing thread already. This constitutes spamming per the TOS and can lead to admin action against your account. Post here only regarding wait times. VJ Moderation
  2. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** There is no deadline, per se. However, after 90 days you are subject to deportation so I would aim to file asap to avoid that risk. If you marry after 90 days, the US citizen will also have to file I-130.
  3. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** I would just put mom and sister, I don’t think it’s such an important field to worry about too much.

  6. 1. No, I-130 and I-485 have separate timelines. An approved I-130 isn’t an indication that I-485 will be processed faster. Emailing isn’t going to help your case process faster. Then everyone would be emailing and calling to do that but that’s just not the case. 2. No 3. No 4. Biometrics, RFE can come at any point in the process, interview, approval. Sometimes interviews are waived, sometimes not. 5. The processing times for I-485 is determined by the Local field office (LFO) and not by the service center. So you need to look up the processing time for your LFO.
  7. Three threads on the topic of police certificates merged. Starting several threads per related topic is not allowed as that constitutes spamming and is a TOS violation. Please confine all further questions regarding police certificates in this thread only. VJ Moderation
  8. Zombie thread closed. OP hasn’t logged in over 4 years. Please start a fresh thread if you have questions. VJ Moderation
  9. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to US Citizenship general discussion ***
  10. Just the tax returns. I would advise however to submit tax return transcripts instead as they’re easier to read. You can download them from IRS.
  11. *** Related threads on post IR2 citizenship for a child merged and thread ism over to the US Citizenship forum for better answers ***
  12. *** Thread moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports as the question is about processing times ***
  13. *** Thread moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports as the question is about processing times ***
  14. *** Thread moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** Do not reschedule. They will put your case on hold until they receive the missing docs.
  15. *** Topic moved from IR1/CR1 spousal visa (consular processing) to AOS work/student/tourist visas *** Just as an fyi that EAD are processed at a service center and I-485 is processed separately at a local field office so EAD approval isn’t an indication of I-485 approval.
  16. Legal marriage certificate issued by the state. Depending on your state, a religious ceremony is considered a legal marriage ceremony which will produce a legal marriage certificate. That’s how it was for us in NY. The imam sent the paperwork to the county after the ceremony and the county issued a marriage certificate.
  17. *** Thread moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports as the original question was about wait times ***
  18. *** Topic moved from Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America forum (consular processing) to AOS work/student/tourist visas - this is an adjustment of status case ***
