Just got a courtesy letter that we did not submit a I 693. Said that we should bring it to the interview or if an interview is not required we will receive a request for evidence. At least I know they looked at our case.

Just two weeks ago you were talking of filing for divorce and pulling the I-864. Pleased to see things are back on track. 
 
 

If she's still unemployed by the time of the interview then you'll need a joint sponsor.

We are adjusting from B2 so i was the one who sent the i 864ez. The rejection letter was the vague one that everybody has been getting talking about the applications needs i 944 and i 864 or i 864ez. I corrected some areas on the i 944 and instead of filing the regular i 864 i filed the EZ. never said they rejected the EZ

You're right. I am just saying that in my case, they asked me for one or the other. Regardless, we sent a myriad of relevant documents, among which were the affidavits. We sent the lease, joint bank account statements, tax returns, car/ health insurance, DL with both our names on it, marriage certificate, wedding and everyday pictures. 

If you have a lease or something with both names showing that you live together that would be good. I sent quite a bit of stuff. Lease, both of our name on car insurance, him as a beneficiary on my life insurance, tickets of events we went to together, bank statement, my official name change. I attached the medical and dental insurance on the i 944. I am the USC.

Parents Green cards got approved today

Be aware that affidavits carry very little weight........Anyone can obtain an affidavit to say anything........remember that quality is much better than quantity.

I noticed it and still sent it because i did the i 864ez since our adjustment it from B2. I sent as much as I can because they have a tendency that paperwork gets lost.

Our package was received at the Chicago location on 12th. Received NOA notifications today morning (5/20) and the money was withdrawn last night(5/19). 

Just wanted to update on my case :
04/22 : Case sent
04/24 : Case received
05/20 : Texts from USCIS with my case number received. 
As of today, our check still hasn't been cashed yet but I'm not worried now.

The I-944 instructions state, “foreign education should include an evaluation of equivalency to education or degrees acquired at accredited colleges, universities, or educational institutions in the United States.” 
 
My interruption was anything listed in that section, which includes HS, would need to be evaluated so we paid to get his high school evaluated. I think it was like $100 and took like 4 weeks to get the official document. 
 
The $100 was worth it to us, even though it added an extra month to file. It was worth the piece of mind of an RFE and we figured they’ll probably come in use again in the future for university.

May 16 our third try was received at Chicago. 1st rejected for using the i-485 that expires 2021 even though that form has been accepted in some cases - according to the forums for AOS filers in April. Second rejection was for missing i-864 for K-2. I only included one for K-1 with the K-2 listed on it, but I realize now that they want a signed form for both - so make sure you send two of every form for K-1 and K-2. I'd be happy to receive an RFE as long as I don't get that packet back again in my mailbox! I'm hoping they will cash that check soon. I don't want to be posting in June AOS filers...

just send what you have transcripts for. I wouldn't pay extra money
