We had our interview on Thursday February 6th everything went fine he went through the packet and noticed that there was a duplicate no problem at all he just deleted one of them I even had the two correct forms printed out and he didn't even want those.
Tampa local office was very easy and quick and our IO
was very professional and thorough and friendly.

Cornflake reacted to B&C2017 in Process of marrying my partner who is currently in the U.S. on a tourist visa
But with the AOS she’ll wait for approx. 6 months to be able to work. With the CR1 it might take a bit longer for her to come to the US, but she will be immediately allowed to work.

But maybe AOS is the best case for you guys - I don’t know. Her living with her parents and not having a work contract could make it almost impossible for her to show ties to her home country, so she might have trouble visiting you while waiting in her country.
I guess if she’s willing to sit around and study and watch Netflix for the next 6-8 months (from now to marriage, to filing AOS/EAD/AP, to approval...) then AOS should be ok.
I’d make sure she can obtain all documents for AOS from abroad - because she won’t be able to go back home to get them. And since you guys didn’t plan on getting married on this trip before she arrived (assumption, since entering as a tourist with the intention to immigrate is illegal), I don’t think she brought anything with her.

But you don’t normally need a visa for Mexico on a Canadian passport, right? The issue is for those people who do normally need a visa but get an exemption through having a green card.

    Update on our case:

Got the text yesterday that my husband's green card is being produced, and a text this morning that his I-485 is officially approved! Hooray!

It's been almost exactly 30 days since our interview on Jan 7th when they informed us that they were still missing his medical packet, but we otherwise passed the interview. I'm just relieved they found it and aren't going to force him to redo his medical!

Good luck to everyone in our March batch! Your GCs will be coming soon! 🙂

Sent AOS packet to Chicago lock box. They received it on January 2 and finally, after a 3-weeks wait they cashed their $1,225 check. I never thought I'd be so happy to see this much money vanish from our back account. After seeing so many posts indicating NOA received and checks cashed within 3-7 days I thought they surly lost mine. Now at least we know they got it and someone over there is doing something about it. The wait for the NOA begins.

No, you should receive receipt notices for all three. When you get the Bios appointment notice it is just one notice you receive. It is true the EAD is a like a combo card that works as your AP. You should still not be worried about the missing I-765 NOA anyway since you received a receipt number for it in a text anyway. Worst case scenario it got lost somewhere, but it is still processing. I always like physical copies too like everyone so hopefully you get it soon.

Cornflake reacted to VISBIS in MY K-1 WAS REVOKED ( HOW DO I APPLY FOR CR-1)
Based on reading this entire forum and @Eseskay previous post, I get the feeling that you haven't done your homework on this subject enough (K1 Visa). This is not a personal jab at you, but from your initial responses, you made it sound so much like you're only doing this for the visa. If your responses at the interview stages were also similar, that could've raised a lot of red flags.

I think while @MachadoMercedess contacts the senators office, @Eseskay you should educate yourself more of the process of both the K1 and the CR1. Go through every document submitted starting from the I129F and then every piece of evidence sent to USCIS. See if there has been any mistakes done by your lawyer. Then go through every piece of document taken to the interview, including the i134, and specially the DS160. Go word by word on all these documents and make sure you haven't made any mistakes or anything that would raise red flags. Then talk with your fiance about the interview and try to remember any and every question asked by the officer and your responses. See if any of them have raised any flags. That's probably the most you could do from your end at this stage in addition to preparing for the CR1 if you guys decide to pursue that.

One hopeful thing here is, the senators office can do a lot here. Not to get your hopes up too much, but I have seen posts here in the past where denied couples have been able to get second interviews, finding additional information about denials, move cases that's been stuck for a long time forward and such after the senator's office gets involved. So contacting the senators office should definitely help in some way.

Also I don't think it's a good idea to pursue a tourist visa at this point. Likelihood of you getting accepted is very low after this denial and will pile up as an additional denial on to your file. Also while on the tourist visa in the US, if you guys get married, they'll most likely interpret that as visa fraud and ban @Eseskay completely from entering the US. At this point patience is key and I can imagine how difficult this must be. Good luck :)

My case was updated to "interview ready to be scheduled" last night. It was updated again this morning to "Interview was scheduled". So, it just took few hours I think that depends on your USCIS local office. Mine is Detroit and it is considered a fast one. I am currently waiting for the letter in the mailbox😊 good luck!

In the context of this thread, I think it's extremely strong evidence.  It's not like USCIS announced the visit and therefore these people got a make-shift baby to show they are parents.  I am not sure what other evidence they could want.  I am not sure if USCIS has the birth certificate or not.

On the bright side, if/when OP gets a GC, it should be a 10 year card.

The fact that she freely admits to the use and knows it is illegal, on the federal level, and knows to stop before the medical, and didn't have enough time to stop using. . .

Makes this a poor case for being allowed in the US.

OP I'm not against the use of cannabis but these are the rules and you clearly knew about.  Maybe your trip can be changed to Jamaica instead?

125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for two people is $21,550. So that's the minimum you should have.

By the way, there are slightly different documents you need to provide if you are self-employed, for example you should send a copy of Schedule C and so on.
