Your fiance is the American Citizen right? He should have been the one that filed this for you. How did he file without knowing the process? He needs to join here as there are many other steps you all will take in the immigration process. Is he attending with you? If so he needs to wise up about this process.
But really to answer your question NO it is not like a job interview. You dont talk until you're asked to do so and believe me they will tell you to shut up if needed (yeah I was told that). My fiance interviewed in London and we felt they were doing everything to not approve the visa. Our AOS was a much nicer experience and less scary. Good luck!

Knowing your sordid (no disrespect intended) immigration history you should never have applied for citizenship, but that’s water under the bridge.

My advice is get off VJ immediately and retain the services of a competent immigration attorney with deep experience in fighting removals because that is what is going to happen to you.

This not a Do-It-Yourself project. This is for the big guns, ie immigration attorneys (and not just any immigration attorney). It will be money well spent.

i have done enough research on removal cases to know you’re facing an uphill battle, even with the best immigration attorney.

    Good luck.

PS: Google and read up on Operation Janus and Operation Second Look. Many already naturalized citizens are having their citizenships revoked and put in removal proceedings for exactly this same issue, and I’m talking people who unlike you had already finished the citizenship process and been citizens for sometimes decades.

Wow! I am surprised you've been in and out so many times with this history but anyway I second the need for an immigration attorney. I don't see where you have any other option.

I would find a competent attorney asap.......this could have affects other than just your naturalization.......not a DIY case, imo.

As it states, you need "evidence you and your spouse have resided together and shared responsibility for a common residence"  Here is what we sent for my wife's ROC.  Maybe it will give you some ideas.

Apartment lease with both our names & signatures
Periodic Joint bank checking acct statements since wife's arrival in June 2017.
Deed for new home with both our names
Mortgage Lender Letter with both our names.
Credit Cards showing both on joint account with same card number.
Amazon delivery label showing both names and our current address.
Wife's Military Dependent ID card showing me as the sponsor.
Tricare Eligibility Letter showing both of us together.
Military pay statement showing wife as my benefic.
Texas Health Care Directives appointing each other as sole health care proxy(Advanced Directives)
Our Texas driver's licenses with same address for both of us
    2018 Joint Tax ReturnTax Returns
Pictures of us on special occasions here in the US.
Car Insurance Cards showing both of us as insured drivers for our car

Removal of conditions is something which takes planning from the time a green card is issued.....

True that! Ours said ready for interview for 3 months before interview scheduled appeared. Ready for interview just means you're back in the waiting game.

That is not an interview notice, which is what OP got.  "Case is ready for interview" status can be up for a year or more before "Interview has been scheduled" appears.

We just had our AOS in Norfolk yesterday. You can read my review and see what we did. We frontloaded our app and were only asked if we had anything to add. Specifically they asked for living arrangements (deed or joint on rent agreement which I had not sent). We gave deed, beneficiary proof and bank statements. She did go through our bank statements to check that both our debit cards were used. We were asked NO questions at all about our relationship. We were asked for ORIGINAL documents so make sure you bring originals and copies.

IRS.gov. Easiest way to get your transcripts. Can get them pdf online and print them out. That’s what we did. We did tax return transcripts.

Hi! No I dont mind you asking. Yes indeed do file your EAD and your AP with your AOS. Its free to do so. My husband got his combo card in December. Took about 5 months from time we filed for the card to come.

There are stories on here of people appearing "too married" for a K1 visa. IMO I would not have any ceremony that could be perceived as a wedding. It could cause you problems.

I cant really help with your question of it being a red flag, but when I lived in Ireland with my fiance I kept my US bank account. I used my parent's address then. Since moving back to the US, I still have my Irish bank account and use our US address for that.

If your looking for FACT, then I recommend finding your own evidence by reading relevant documentation issued by DOS, only then are you able to confirm it as fact, other than that, your only getting people’s interpretation of the requirements.

And while you might think it’s funny, yes, I firmly believe that child support is paid to support the child and that it’s reallocation and use to support a new spouse as part of the immigration process is morally wrong and I’m pretty sure family law courts would agree.

I’m sorry too. I can relate as he missed his brothers wedding recently. Not his daughters but definitely was not easy on him.
His parents brought over some tea and local food from the UK as well.
He visited the US for many years for months at a time but this time was “different”. And it was.
I am trying now to plan for us to visit next year as I too wish we had his family and mine. Wish you both the best as well !

Sarah I am so sorry! My husband is missing his oldest daughters wedding this week so I understand completely. Adjustment is hard and some days will be worse than others. We found a website to buy food common to Ireland (and UK). That has helped some to have "normal" food for him. Do what you can to prepare to travel over every year. Once my husband can travel we will be going back for visits. Just know it will take time. Be as supportive as you can. Best to you both!
