I believe you MUST upgrade them after taking the oath.  Besides, I see no advantage to their remaining as F2a.

Thank you so kindly for this helpful info. I looked into current processing time to get my citizenship and it is risky. I’ve just spoken to my spouse, and we will reapply with her as petitioner.

    File to Naturalise today

You need to look at Table A on the Visa Bulletin, they are category F2A. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-january-2024.html

As you can see, those with PD's of 1st Nov 2019 or earlier now have a visa number available to them. So just keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin and then when the PD for your country/category is later than your PD, that's when they'll be added to the queue for an interview and the file transferred to Manila.

When will you be eligible to apply for naturalization?

Yes, I’ve been eligible to apply for citizenship since October 2023. I haven’t had time to process it because of work. Will it make a difference on expediting this petition if I get my citizenship?

I went in just to be sure, and they said USCIS had been sending those erroneously as of late. They took my biometrics anyway since I was already there. It took just 5 mins to get it all done. Thanks!

I sent you a PM that has the latest details on the Philippines up to today.  I do know PAL has started flights back to Cebu but EVA will have to confirm on if they have been granted permission to resume.  The arrivals per day are still limited into NAIA.

The hotel owners took a vote and decided that you need to stay in their hotels for 10 days instead of seven!

As of now, there are no exemptions for people who are fully vaccinated.

Rules change every week or 2 and they keep getting worse. Check the Bureau of Immigration Philippines  Facebook page for the most up to date info.

I think it depends which office you go to whether or not they keep your docs at CFO. We went to Cebu and they did not keep anything...

BC was submitted with I-129f so nope its not needed. Just be cleanly dressed. I've seen many different wardrobes and you want to be comfortable.  Shorts, sandles and a collared shirt and not revealing will be just fine. Goid luck with your interview.

I know what you mean. Their website looks pretty shady, and they still have not responded to the email I sent to cancel the Cebu CFO I had initially booked for June 3rd. I will call them when they open today.

My fiancé was in line checking in early this morning, and a couple with a child were in the line next to her.

The Filpina didn't have a CFO sticker, so she was denied to travel.

So I'm just putting out a friendly reminder to get your sticker before Travel.

Also our VISA was messed Petitioner name was messed up, so my Fiance had to go back to the USEM and get that fixed. Took 3 days for it to be fixed.

So If you have an error, you can do a walk in between 9-11 am.
If they tell you to wait, then you will get it same day, if they tell you to go home and wait, then it will be a few days. So try to convince them you will wait lol!!
  24. Thanks

Yup CFO is crucial or you won't even be allowed into security area. Posted countless times about getting it done regardless what visa you receive. And definitely important to point out as you did, check the visa. Some have the petitioner's name, some don't. My husband's visa did not have a name on it.
  25. Thanks

Calling NVC isn't the best move since the changes .. emailing is the better way with NVC .. because SLEC needs that email/letter.
