Hello,

I received my green card earlier this year and I got my Covid vaccine (J&J) last month. I’m looking to travel home to the Philippines to visit my family. Will my Covid vaccine card be honored or am I still going to be subjected to the 10-14 days quarantine period in some hotel after I land in NAIA? Thanks in advance!

The hotel owners took a vote and decided that you need to stay in their hotels for 10 days instead of seven!

As of now, there are no exemptions for people who are fully vaccinated.

Nor should there be. The vaccine is still not proven effective.

Duterte has dropped the ball on getting vaccines, So your country is now begging for vaccines from anybody who will give it to them.

Also Philippines has a 2000 per day limit on people entering the Philippines, so that will also limit your options as well. Add the Curfews, Limited Transportation, quarantines, Liquor bans, and many hotels being closed it seems like Philippines is going backwards in it fight against COVID.

Back in Texas this week:

Since Texas opened 100% 2 months ago
* Covid hospitalizations are the lowest in almost 11 months
* 5 consecutive days with fewer than 2,000 Covid cases
* Covid positivity rate below 5% for 6 straight days for the 1st time in forever
* fatalities down more than 2/3

You still have to stay in a "authroized" quarantine hotel for 10 days, and you still have to take a COVID test.

The Philippines is still making money off this, Corruption at it's finest

This is the part I hate the most

I suspect vaccine is at least as effective as any Manila hotel quarantine for stopping the spread of this Chinese coronavirus .

After returning from our Peru trip last week, my wife has just tested negative in Manila again and thus completed her "7 day" quarantine that started last Friday evening around 8:00PM.  I guess she beat the deadline for the new rules.  The "7 Days" actually took 5 days and 5 hours from arrival at NAIA to receipt of the negative PCR test result.  During that time she took a taxi to her hotel in Quezon City, ordered groceries from Robinson Supermarket delivered to her room and the delivery person was nice enough to bring them up and carry them into the room for her.  She went down to the hotel lobby to pay for a Food Panda delivery.  She sneaked out and went two blocks to a 7/11 and to use an ATM once.  We suspect that the increase of quarantine from 7 days to 10 days, accompanied by an a change from swabbing on the "6th day" to swabbing on the "7th day" to  will likely result in an increase from 5 days and 5 hours, to somewhere between 6 days 5 hours 8 days and 5 hours.
