Hello! I booked a flight home to the Philippines in 3 weeks. This would be my first trip home since I received my green card. I’m supposed to land in Cebu from LAX but last time I checked, they are still rerouting my destination to MNL for a mandatory 10- day quarantine, even if I’ve been fully vaccinated since April. Other than the exorbitant expenses for the “quarantine facility” (which I need to book asap) and swabs, is there anything else I need to prepare for? My PH passport is still valid.

Whether your flying PAL or not this will give you a good idea. Also I had thought flights to Cebu had resumed.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Hi, yes, I have a round trip ticket. I would assume the same people who will get me quarantined will advise if me if this test prior to re-entry to the US is mandatory in my country

I booked round trip tickets with Eva Air. I guess they are still confirming with the local government if we’ll be rerouted still since my flight itinerary has not been finalized yet.

I sent you a PM that has the latest details on the Philippines up to today.  I do know PAL has started flights back to Cebu but EVA will have to confirm on if they have been granted permission to resume.  The arrivals per day are still limited into NAIA.

Reality is the required covid test for entry in the USA will not  be lifetime requirement?

The only way I see it going away is with the required use of a vaccine passport

YMMV

seems i can't at least warn someone that it may be needed

and may not be lifetime but is in effect now

i wouldn't think this person expects to be out for 6 months or more

and at present last i read is it is in effect till end of 2021

It may or may not be required when OP decides to return to USA

So no one should advise the OP that it is currently a requirement?
