Kowatti reacted to Greenbaum in Binder okay for I-129F filing?
We burned the binder and marked your record "problem child".  Just kidding.

They will remove the contents from the binder and destroy it. They will scan your documents that are needed into your file. You'll be ok.

Welcome to the forum.  You will find a lot of good information here, from people who have a vast amount of knowledge.  My fiancé is Nigerian also, however resides in the Gambia.  The embassy he will be interviewing at is difficult & Lagos is just as difficult, if not more.  You have the same cultural background, so that is a plus for you.  The requirement is to meet face to face within 2 years of filing, but you have to remember that Nigeria is a high fraud country.  You must prove to the consular that you are in a bona fide relationship & all the other proof you spoke about.  The age gap in a high fraud country is considered a red flag, if the woman is the older one.  As you know in the Nigerian culture, it's normal for the man to be older.  If I understand you correctly, you are the petitioner (female) is the older one.  My dear, I can tell you if that is the case, you need to visit more than one time.  As far as you changing jobs, you don't have to wait to file or because you are moving.  Prior to his interview, you will need to show that you have sufficient income to sponsor him by completing the affidavit of support form & providing him with the needed financial documents.  You can update your new address online once you move.  I hope this helps a little bit.  I am sure others will contribute.  My best wishes to you.

You are very welcome.  The more visits, the better for the two of you.  I know this is a challenging journey for all of us.  Good luck.

Sounds like they are very suspicious about the marriage. Mean, her sister married a USC, then petitioned her parents it sounds like you're saying... your wife didn't get to go because she either aged out or it would have taken too long... so you were "introduced" through her sister's husband's family basically.. CO seems to probably think it's a bit too convenient. It happens a lot I'm sure.  Since the marriage how much time have you actually spent in person together? Could be another issue they are seeing.

Hello fellow August filers I only posted on this site once when I was waiting for NOA2
I just got back from my fiancee's country to accompany her for the interview (ten months apart this was a good excuse to go to see her even if it was just for a short time), it was approved god is great.
Being long distance from each other and being relationship is so hard, saddening, and this process really tested my nerves. I just know it's all been worth it, I just wish the process was shorter.
I pray everyone gets approved. God bless and stay strong

I’m sorry to hear about this. It’s so frustrating and heartbreaking to be taken advantage of and feel like there is nothing you can do about it. And it’s true that unless you have concrete evidence of fraud it’s hard. However.... one thing you can do if he truly disappears out of your lives and shirks his obligations to your child is to put on record that he owes child support. That wlll be an issue for when he tries to naturalize as it will go against good moral character and prevent him naturalizing.  You don’t even need a court order for child support for this (although that would be better anyway for a number of reasons), as the courts hold that it is a moral/ethical obligation rather than a purely legal one.

You sound a little bit too much interested more about your American dream than wanting to be with your fiance. Your fiance could move to your country if you really want to be together.

My fiancee just got done her interview,  just wanted to thank everyone for the great info and help that is provided here.  Sites like this saved me 3000 bucks on a lawyer, and I was able to do it on my own.  Nerve racking and stressful but done lawyer free none the less.

Most likely I'll be here again for AOS

    @mohamed el amrani,

The form they gave you should have what the need in order to issue you your visa. It means you should send them what they are asking for. Until they receive it, your case will be on hold. The sooner you send them what they ask for the sooner you can get through this process. Simply follow the instructions of the form they gave you.

You should also complete your timeline here for us to better help you.

Pretty straightforward--only use the physicians that are approved by the embassy/consulate where the interview will take place.  They should send you this list of approved doctors or at least a link to the website where approved (as of today) doctors are listed.  The doctor should also know if they are on the approved list or not.  Don't overcomplicate this.

If he's off the list it means that he no longer is an authorized doctor , he can very well be on vacation and has continued his practice but is no longer authorized.

Yes, send the pages from your passport where it shows the visa stamp for the country you visited to see your fiance.  It proves you actually traveled there.  Also, include any airline receipts, paying for the trip, & of course pictures of the two of you & with friends, & the family members together.  If your birth certificate correctly matches your license & ss card, that's great.  Don't be afraid of sending in little side notes explaining anything that you think might create a red flag or RFE for you.  It's better that they understand everything than to leave questions in their minds about certain things.

Hi.  If the name you are now using is what you have on your documents, it should not be a problem.  What does your passport, ss card, driver's license/id & etc have?  It's only a problem when the name you are now using is different from some of the documents & they don't match.  I suppose after filling for divorce, your intetion was to change your name back, but decided not to.  After my divorce, I changed my name back through the courts & sent a copy of the name change with my I-129F packet.  I had no problem.  I hope this helps a little bit.  Good luck in your journey.

How a couple presents their evidence is truly based on the couple and the country the interview will be in.

    1. One must consider if your country is considered high fraud
    2. Difficult (like the MENA's and West Africa, India and Pakistan)
    3. Does the couple have Red flags, i.e (large age gap, not common in the countries norm)
    4. Previous other petitions

When one considers all that that show you go about presenting your quality presentation and showing you are a real true bonafide couple.

I have seen petitions from 10 pages to 5000 pages approved. It just depends on the length of the relationship, what the couple is presenting to show bonafide relationship.

Now saying all that I can say that your husband is in Sweden not a difficult place at all, you are on the Visa Waiver Program not third world so scrutiny won't be that deep.

Keep it light and simple. You don;t live together so they aren't expecting co mingling of finances and bills and such. Focus on the visits and time together showing communications and letters and gifts and whatever ever else you want to show you are a loving in love married couple looking forward to the future.
