Adam A reacted to Sciencedaan in Alhamdulillah got my Visa today!!!
Hi Vj Members, Thank you very much for the support here and helping. Alhamdulillah I got my CR1 visa today. It was a super busy day. I got a call today at 10 am from US embassy saying that your visa is ready and if you can fly before July 2nd (as my medical will expire on July 2nd). I asked him to give me 1/2 hours to discuss this with my family and cutting the long story short I confirmed him that lets do it and I will fly before 2nd July. I got a call again from same person around 4:15 pm to collect it from American Express Office. Alhamdulliah I collected my passport at 5 pm from the American express office.
InshAllah I am flying with my wife on July 1st and will reach there on July 1st
Here are few important dates:
Filed my case in Feb, 2018
Got interviewed in Jan, 2019
There were few updates after the interview but everytime it was on AP.
I wish you all the best in your journey and hopefully everyone will be with their spouse soon.

Adam A reacted to Ashbee in CEAC- ISSUED -- But no Notofication
Only God, the embassy and probably DHL knows why we haven't received our passports yet. Just try your best and be active, do something to take your mind off it. You'll surely get your passport with your visa placed in it. Next year by now some people experiencing this will also be reading what we went through after our interview. You are not alone.

Adam A reacted to SusieQQQ in AP after Visa Approved?
They do actually tell you this in the instructions for DV selectees that your selection letter linked to.
It is important that you do not make arrangements such as selling your house, car or property, resigning from your job or making non-refundable flight or other travel arrangements until you have received your immigrant visa.
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/diversity-visa-program-entry/diversity-visa-interview.html
The warning is repeated two pages after that again
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/diversity-visa-program-entry/diversity-visa-interview/diversity-visa-applicant-interview.html
Anyway, from everything you’ve said I think this is just the “routine” AP every case goes onto between interview and issuance (would ease so many people’s minds if they had another status to use for approved cases, like “approval in progress” or something) and you’ll probably get your visa soon.

Nothing to be confused about. Everybody goes through administrative processing. It means they are working on it.

Adam A got a reaction from SalishSea in F2b Visa Complicated Situation
I just went for an interview on may 22 for the same thing but only difference my mother is a US citizen and the Co asked me twice if I'm married or even engaged, I said no cause I'm not,she made me sign a paper that what I said is true and told me in the future if we find out you lied everything will be cancelled, I said I understand, she then told me you cannot enter the US if you are married or engaged, what you do after entry will not effect the case but upon entry you can't be engaged or married. This will apply to you as well, my advice don't lie and be straight forward about everything.

Adam A got a reaction from wbeem in K1 Visa CEAC Status Stuck On "Application Received"?
Hey guys just be patient, it's annoying very annoying but I have been stuck for 5 weeks on ready status, the site updates but nothing else, I know I'm from a different country and different case but still for immigrant visa, wishing you best of luck during this annoying restless period. Good luck

Adam A reacted to Roel in 7 Months later- Issued
That's a standard procedure for cases that are in AP for a long time.
Maybe, maybe not. Congrats on your visa, but just saying - lawyer had no real way of affecting AP processing time or embassy's background checks. Pure coincidence here. That's important to note here, or every person who's stuck in AP will be hiring lawyers and then be disappointed that nothing happened.

Adam A reacted to bigfooot in Long Visa Journey
Hello guys,
Today my visa was issued finally after a hard / unique / long visa journey, and the reason why i'm writing this thread is to share my particular case because it can be helpful for others who might have a similar situation like mine.
I posted my first thread one year ago, Help me please, can we get married before ds260, i didn't know anything about the procedures of diversity visa back then, some people told me to avoid getting married because it can decrease the chances of your visas getting approved, they told me to wait for her to get there and she can later petition for you, but we didn't want to be separated like that, we were about to get married anyways here, so we decided to get married and hope for the best, also your replies were really important to us to take that decision.
+ we got married, we filled DS260, waited for the confirmation letter, but no response from KCC, even tho we sent the required documents and we received the automatic reply, in January we called KCC, they told us that they didn't receive anything, and they advised us to send a new email again, 3 days later we got the confirmation email, so, if someone doesn't receive his confirmation email, you got to call them to check.
+ our case number is 12k, we received the appointment date late, it was 16th of April, the interview went smooth, but the consular told us that we're missing a document, and told us that we're going to have a second interview, you can read the whole thing in this thread i think i have a rare case, it was rare, because I've never heard of something like that, so basically my wife was born in 95 and was registered in 2002, they wanted a justification for this delay of birth registration, we brought an affidavit from the place where her birth was registered.
+ fast forward, they fixed another appointment which was a second interview, it was in 30th of May, we went there and waited 3 hours, until the room was empty, they called us in different counters, they asked us questions about the relationship that every genuine couple could answer.
+ and finally, today the visa was issued, i'm really happy we finally overcame this full year of stress and frustration, i hope this thread would help someone because i know the mental and physical sufferings we went through,
thanks to Jojo92122, and SusieQQQ for their help, and i thank everyone who helped me and didn't mention !

Adam A reacted to TandMApproved in What’s going on at London? Interviews within last 2 weeks?
Hello all,
My fiancé had her K1 interview on June 10, 2019 and was approved, no additional info needed, just straight approved. The application stayed in “Application Received” until June 18th when it finally changed to NI AP. It’s been in NI AP for a week now. I’m aware that AP can take awhile and what not, but it seems as though visas have been brought to a drastic standstill and are taking a lot longer now than they did just a few weeks ago.
Others on here that had their interviews around the time my fiancé had hers are experiencing the same thing so it’s not just me. Has anyone had their K1 interview within the last 2 weeks? Does anyone by any slim chance have any info if things in London are massively backed up or something? Curious because it seemed like before June 10 people were getting their visas issued within a week or just over a week.
On a side note, I emailed the embassy while my application seemed to have been stuck in “Application Received” and the day after they replied is when my case finally changed to NI AP. Don’t know if this was purely a coincidence that it seemingly “nudged” our case a bit. I know others have noticed the same when emailing in the past. Thanks everyone!

That's not your business, how does that relate to his questions. Ever heard of people past life. Get a grip!!. Noisy asf

Adam A reacted to Going through in FELONY CHARGE
You said she was charged with a felony....
Just "threatening" with a weapon is usually classed as a misdemeanor in most States and usually won't get you a 6 month stay in jail unless there were other aggravating circumstances---you may not be getting the full story from your spouse. Is this her only offence?
Most you can do at this point is ensure you are making a sound decision in marrying this person, make sure you know the complete circumstances surrounding her arrest/jail time/probation/etc.
(I don't want you to think I'm judging your fiancee or your relationship at all---I'm not as I have a history too, albeit not DV related)

Adam A reacted to Greenbaum in Interview in Nairobi, sent missing documents with passport the following day as per the CO. Whats the waiting time going to be?
I am compassionate and caring or else I wouldn't be here sharing the information I know and have acquired. Just because someone doesn't like the information presented or how it's presented doesn't mean it's not valid or relevant or helpful. This is NOT a support group. This a "Do It Yourself" website to help others through their immigration paperwork without the help of a lawyer or for pay service. The fact that there is support here, is a benefit but it's not the purpose of the forum.
If you disagree with my assessment then point out WHY you think I'm wrong. There was nothing that I provided in my response to their statement that was false. If your feelings were hurt I can't help you with that.
You make this time difficult for yourself not I, nor USCIS, NVC or your Embassy. You were promised one thing and that was a YES or NO answer to your application and your visa. Nothing else.

Adam A reacted to Sike team in Interview in Nairobi, sent missing documents with passport the following day as per the CO. Whats the waiting time going to be?
Yes so true, it affects us not them, we need to be fast in responding and hopefully they do the same. We have more to gain than them.

Adam A got a reaction from Sike team in Interview in Nairobi, sent missing documents with passport the following day as per the CO. Whats the waiting time going to be?
Yeah they are always understaffed and not up to date, you have to be on top of things with them cause let's face it end of the day this will only effect us not them in anyway.

Adam A reacted to Wuozopo in k1 further documents required after being approved
I don't know why they didn't see this at the interview if the paperwork said he fell short. Did your fiancé not review it? Anyway confused a little how this happened, but just have to wait on them. If you did it correctly this time then hopefully something will change this Week. I've noticed London being a little slow the last couple of weeks. Have you followed this thread? https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/710088-k1-visa-ceac-status-stuck-on-application-received/
