2nd First Day of Medical

Rose and the kids had day one of medical today.  They didn't accept Aira's passport photos because an ear was showing????  The picture looks fine to me but we got new pics for her anyway.  They also required the eligibility letter.  We didn't bring that but we had the interview confirmation and the NVC letter (as stated on SLEC's site).  They said it was OK to bring the new picture and eligibility letter tomorrow for Day 2.

They also have to get more shots.  I was surprised since they had them all just a year ago and they have the records.  All in all, nothing terrible but the picture and requiring a letter that isn't listed as required but we got this.

Hopefully the new pic is good and they go straight to immunizations...

That is strange about the ear!  What if a person has extremely short hair and the ears are visible anyway?

My wife had no ears showing and my step daughter had a little bit of an ear showing.  I think the guard was just having a bad day.  I've looked at other pictures and I honestly do not see any issues with this at all.

I think Manila requires you to chop them off))))

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

I think a little of both.  Getting a new picture isn't bad but add that to all the other stuff like a system error that kept my wife's expedited petition at NVC a month longer than it should have been there, and things get just plain weird.  We are still forging ahead but I am much more stressed now waiting for the next "challenge".  I was taught that "problem" to "issue" are negative words.  "Challenge" is positive.  So I'm waiting on the next F-ing "challenge"  😁🤣

Like I said before, the same guy who required that (she had the NVC letter and the interview confirmations) was the same guy who rejected Aira's passport photo.  I think he was having a bad day.
