If you get your green card before your EAD and AP, you can easily travel and apply for jobs with your green card. It's definitely a great thing!

Jesserose24, it violates the site's Terms of Service to tell someone not to post.  It's suggested that you review the TOS (to which you agreed to adhere when you registered) and not violate a provision again.  Furthermore, avoid insulting highly experienced members.  This is your only notification before administrative action against your account.

KULtoATL got a reaction from monkeyJoJo in LIN(Nebraska) filers Any update?
I just went through the entire August 2020 filers thread. Unfortunately, no one took the initiative to start a spreadsheet for your filing month so there was none to be found.

The next best reference would be this page: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/liftlist.php?op6=Nebraska+Service+Center&op1=5&op2=&op3=&op4=1&op5=5%2C9%2C10%2C11%2C12&cfl=0

KULtoATL got a reaction from Fragger in Changing address and sending i751 at the same time
When exactly are you moving into the new place?

If you're moving into your new place the next couple of weeks, then definitely use the new address on your I-751. That way the NOA will be sent to your new address by the time you guys have moved in. Currently, it takes at least 6 weeks (or more) before a NOA is issued and mailed out.

Having said that, if the physical/mailing address is listed accordingly on the I-751, then you won't need to submit AR-11.

On the other hand, if you list your current address as the physical/mailing address when filing the I-751, then yes, upon your move you'll need to send in AR-11.

Judging by your receipt date, I can only assume that you are probably a December 2020 filer such as myself. If you are interested to look at the LIN timelines, check out the spreadsheets from recent months to get a better idea of the processing speed.

Vaccination records are not needed when submitting the I-129F.

Once the petition gets to the K-1 visa application stage at the embassy/consulate level, that's when vaccination records are involved at the required K-1 medical check-up. There is a list of required vaccination which the doctor will go through with the K-1 applicant where you'll have to establish whether or not you've received a certain vaccines and also determine what vaccination is missing and must be received that's age appropriate, in order for the doctor to complete the DS-3025.

As for a K-1 wedding, no specific guidelines. However, the marriage must take place 90 days upon admission into the US with the K-1 visa. Best thing to do is just get married at the courthouse so that you don't go past the 90 days and have your marriage certificate in hand to include in your AOS packet. Proper reception can be planned after, which will greatly reduce unnecessary stress, in my personal opinion 😀

@LittleLune I don't have any personal experience with what you are asking about therefore I won't even try to say whether or not it is OK. It may be a gray area but definitely risky if you choose to work, even remotely from the US, while waiting for an EAD. Having come here on a K-1 visa and had to adjust my status as well as to wait for an EAD to work and AP to travel outside the US, I know it is a little annoying when we are adults, have bills to pay and also just want to go about living our lives.

I hope you're able to figure this out and take the right action without jeopardizing your US immigration legal status. All the best

My understanding from.the sentence is that "within the United States" means while the immigrant is physically present in the US, not that the employer is within the US.

"any service or labor performed ... within the United States..."

Thanks! I wasn't able to find that thread for some reason, I guess I entered the wrong search terms. From what I gather, it's in something of a legal gray area because it hasn't been explicitly decided on in law, and there are stories of people doing this and not getting in trouble. I also noticed that "unauthorized employment" is defined by USCIS on this page as "any service or labor performed for an employer within the United States..." which would mean my case would not be unauthorized since it's for an employer outside of the United States. I'm still not totally free of worry, but it's a start.

It seems to be clear cut. Your wife will still need an I-131 Advance Parole. Whether or not she can get an emergency AP or have her AP expedited, that's obviously a whole different story. She might not qualify for either since there are dentists readily available here despite the higher costs.

But if you guys can wait till after she gets her GC (fingers crossed) in March, she can travel with her brand spanking new GC to Mexico and not have to apply for AP.

Oh I understand the process. But I want to ensure the biometrics appointment is waived before the travel. I'd hate for them to start doing biometric appointments again and we already booked the travel. I know the final interview or not is probably a year off.... and that letter about biometrics generally comes pretty quick. I see informed delivery has something today they couldn't image, and they don't always image govt letters, so maybe today? Lol just getting my hopes up.

My personal answer, yes, that's definitely sufficient and you're not from a high fraud country to begin with. And honestly, I personally did not submit any utility bills for my AOS and received my 2-year GC just fine. Mailed my ROC paperwork in December 2020 and no utility bills sent in either. Good luck 🙌

That aside, you can try to contact your congressperson.

When you call USCIS, say 'technical problem' and at some point you'll get routed to an agent. The agent can also give you your receipt number verbally while you wait for your paper NOA.
