Hi all,

I'm Green Card holder through marriage to us citizen wife. 2-year Green card expires 7/7, and so we can file for removal of conditions from April 10th onwards.

However - my wife is also pregnant and we are expecting our first child (baby girl) in late May.

Should I hold off from filing for removal of conditions until the baby arrives, and I can include her in the form?

Thanks!

Are you planning to file for citizenship?
ROC is taking 2 years or more and most people file for naturalization before it is adjudicated.
You can update your marital evidence to include the baby when you file for naturalization…

i personally would file before the baby is born as things might get quite hectic during the first few months with the new born.
If you aren’t planning on filing for naturalization you can always send in updated evidence later when they request it.

Include???

the baby will be  a USC

I think OP means as ‘evidence’ (for lack of a better term) of a bonafide marriage.

OP: no need to wait, you want to get this ball rolling as soon as you can!

Why would you delay it? Just curious as to your thought process.

I think he was thinking it was a good piece of evidence of a bona-fide marriage and wanted to include it.  I understand where he was going on this and his asking of delaying only a month to include this evidence.

I also agree with everyone else to move forward as early as possible with the filing.

I agree with the "No need to delay filing" crowd.
