For the question on the DS-260 application: Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? 

 

What do people put here?  My beneficiary is coming from Mexico.  How are you supposed to know if you have them in accordance with US law?

You can put yes since at interview you will have had your vaccinations and proof of it. Or you could say no pending Vaccinations at Medical. Your choice.

Well that's where I'm confused.  How do you know what vaccinations you need to comply with US law.  My beneficiary is vaccinated like any other normal mexican with the normal vaccinations since birth, but whether that complies with US law... I don't know.  lol

So now, you can look at that link and follow any vaccination requirement and compare with the beneficiary's vaccinations. The fill out DS260 accordingly.

We answered "No" and then in the explanation box wrote that she "planned to get all the required vaccinations during the immigration medical examination."

Then you are done.  Some Mexicans are forced to take non WHO/FDA vaccines and that is permitted.

She will have a medical done before her visa can be issued, the medical will include a vaccination work sheet and if she can't remember what vaccines she has had, the doctor will either test her blood or let her know which shots she needs to take to complete the vaccination requirement. 

 

I put "yes" on the DS-160 even if I hadn't had my medical at that point, I knew it would be done by the time of the interview.

When we filled out our DS260, we did what Top Secret did.  'No' and then an explanation that, by the time of interview, we would.  It was not a problem.

Not at all, you can put either yes or no, both works just fine. We're tons who have put yes on the form without issues.

I never said there would be an issue.  I just said it would not be true unless, at the time of filling out the form, you do have the documentation.
