Hii, who should be getting police checks? We were approved on Saturday! Not sure what the next steps are.

The beneficiary should be getting the police checks!  It is nice to be a fly on the wall for the NOA2 approved groups.

Finally approved today, after a RFE on Feb 4th. Phew that was stressful. Anyone from Canada here? Do we need RCMP police checks or city police?

We got approved on March 9th! So glad to be on to the next step! We had actually already scheduled my fiance's police clearance before getting our NOA2, so we attended that appointment the day after we got approval. Out of some crazy stroke of luck, his police certificate was finished in one day!! Thankful to have one more step crossed off. I will wait a few weeks before I start calling NVC, and then we hope to see our case transferred pretty quickly! Fingers crossed!

Does anyone have guidance regarding updating the NVC regarding your email and getting the case number?  The Greenbaum instructions say to update your email "Once you receive your NOA2 approval and your file is at NVC (the usual transfer time is 30 days)" but then "Updating your e-mail will give you an e-mail alert when your file arrives at NVC, your case number is assigned, and when the case record leaves for your Embassy."  So . . .  this sounds like I should wait to send the update for the 30-days until the package arrives at the NVC, but not wait in order to get the email alert when it arrives.  Similarly, should I call or will they email?

Sorry if I am overthinking this; I will try to check some older posts later to see if this is answered anywhere, but if anyone knows, let me know!

I updated my email a few days after i received my NOA2 if that helps. I still haven't received a reply yet but i want to be notified once it arrives. I plan on calling the NVC to get my case number when I've been approved at least 30 days or so

@sarac4479 This is the March 2021 NOA2 approvals group.  I don't know if your approval was March. I guessed because I was unable to locate it on your timeline. And I agree it's hard to navigate VJ sometimes lol

Our case was just changed to Ready! So it must have reached the embassy. We are waiting for the email from the embassy. Isn't there a way to see the P3 here on visajourney?

Which embassy is processing your visa?

Also you want to register your email with NVC? You can just email them to do so.
