Embassy Review : Recommended for Approval!

Pretty similar experience like others, interview was at 9am I got there 8:45. Was inside the building within 5 mins. Went thru security, got 2 slips of same number. Went upstairs, first window stern but nice gentleman asked for my passport, copy, birth certificate and copy, payment receipt, I 134 and supporting documents, police reports. Gave me a domestic violence brochure and told me to read it as they will be quizzing ( no one asked me questions regarding this). Waited about 20 minutes before being called to next window, really nice gentleman, felt more like a friendly conversation than an “interview”. Questions asked:

-what is your fiancé name? What does he do? How and when you guys met? When did you get engaged?

- what countries have you lived in? Tell me about your travel history for past 5 years?

- where does your fiancé live?

I saw him grab the “tracking” sheet for visa during second question so knew then he was going to approve or maybe I was being overconfident. I was there maybe for 45mins to an hour. All in all pretty easy, I was anxious way more than I needed to be.

Hi Darin and Priyanka, congrats on your interview date. Mine isn't far off. I was wondering if you had to pay a visa fee before going to the consulate at Montreal and if so, how did you do it? I can't seem to figure it out. Your info is much appreciated. Thanks. Best wishes. Suresh VK

Did you get your P4? If you got the email it should have a link to register and pay fees prior to interview. I believe it’s the second link listed in the email.

I did get an email and the link. I registered my appointment and it let me select my courier location. But don't recall seeing any payment section or process. When I log in, all it gives is my appointment information and courier location.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
