  1. Good morning everyone Our submit date was July 18. We received our social security and EAD within 30 days. February 25th we received notice that the Adjustment of Status was approved. We did have an RFE that we sent in quickly in January. No interview. No update on travel document. I’m assuming because the green card was approved, the travel document is no longer necessary?
  2. We used the wait to save money as well. We were able to pay for school and buy a second car very easily. It was long but the preparation and planning turned out to be the best thing.
  3. From start to finish, ours took from September 2020 to February 2022. With our K1 experience, he’s had no issues with getting a social security card, drivers license, EAD. Hasn’t been the worst experience but it was indeed excruciatingly long. It didn’t help that Australia was sealed off from the world for the entire pandemic so visiting wasn’t in the cards. I would just recommend meticulous petitions to avoid delays in processing. Our first interview appointment was July 2021, but embassy kept closing due to COVID. Then September was cancelled then finally we had one in December.
  4. My husband and I waited two years during the pandemic. He couldn’t leave his country and I couldn’t go visit. It was excruciating. One of the best pieces of advice my therapist gave me was realizing this is a small slither of time compared to the rest of your life. Now that he’s here it really does seem like our two years was a small window of time. But I know how you feel. It was very hard. Do you mind filling out your timeline? I believe the veterans in the community can tell you a little bit more depending which country your fiancé is from on the likelihood of when you may get an NOA2…
  5. Yes 37 days after my post. Over two months after interview.
  6. I’ve learned it varies greatly. We are in Los Angeles & (EAD) it took 27 days after filing. We were definitely expecting it to be 5+ months. Other members in the July AOS group have had their EADs approved quickly as well.
  7. No update on AP card. Only a status change for AOS that it’s being actively reviewed and the approval for EAD. I just checked our notices again and no field office is indicated. Only a NVC center in Missouri w a P.O. Box at the bottom
  8. No expedite we were expecting it to take months. I think it’s electronic? We couldn’t find a field office on our notices unless we just missed it completely
  9. Mistakenly posted in the August AOS; received NOA July 18 for all three apps. EAD Approved August 11. 27 days, does this mean work permit should be here soon? Finishing school in December with job placement, hoping the permit arrives in time for a smooth transition into employment.
  10. We received a USCIS update indicating our EAD was approved for I 765, card Is being produced. Is it common to get these notices that quick but it still take a few months to physically receive the authorization?
  11. Received Receipt notice for our AOS this month, biometrics today.
