Frankfurt stated they will open "Sometime this summer" but they will be prioritizing Student visas.....I think when they finally ope we will get to know for sure which visas can be processed or not.

That's the focus of the NIV unit,  what will be the focus of the IV unit?

YMMV

Its about the country  for example,  here in Ontario we just started phase two. So the consulate in toronto might open

. Does me no good as I need montreal to go to phase three apparently. The good news is- the montreal consulate actually answered an email with a real response today instead of the standard auto-reply. I guess they're working now.

Hi! I’m also waiting on Montreal. So in the email they told you that montreal needs to enter phase 3 for them to reopen? I’ve tried sending emails but I only get the generic response.

I'm waiting on Montreal as well. Seems like a lot of people received their DQ's on June 1st. I see on their website that they are open but couldn't find if they are scheduling interviews yet. This thread is helpful, thanks for keeping it going :)

Also waiting on Montreal. It's disheartening when it was already taking 5-6 months from DQ to interview in Montreal in normal times. I don't even want to think about how long this is going to be backlogged now.

I'm also only getting the generic auto-reply.

What's confusing is that their website says:

"Embassies and consulates have canceled all routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments as of March 20, 2020, but will continue to provide emergency and mission-critical visa services as resources and local conditions allow. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time."

So if CR1 visas are in the EO exemption as being "mission-critical", why aren't we being scheduled yet?

That's what I've been wondering. I've contacted our Embassy many times and they give generic responses also and say they are doing "some mission critical services" as services will allow. And I'm like I've seen 3 people from Sweden on this forum who are all CR1 or IR1 that are just waiting for interviews and not been contacted. I'm like so confused.

Hi all. I'm still working on my profile. Will update soon.

Just wanted to add something here...

I am also waiting for my interview at the Lusaka embassy, Zambia.

I have been in contact with them, Nvc and my attorneys regularly. And needless to say I get very conflicting feedback.

The embassy in Lusaka replied on the 22nd: "we are slowly opening up and have started scheduling interviews. We will contact you when your case comes up."

On the 2nd of June Nvc replied :"nvc received all the requested documents for your case. The application is in the queue for an interview overseas... The us embassy/consulate tells us what dates they are holding interviews, and nvc fills these appointments as the cases become DQd. Nvc schedules appointments 1 month in advance, but we cannot predict when an interview will be available."

Lastly, my immigration attorney told me yesterday :" I called the Nvc on Friday and was told that nothing is going to any embassy because no official announcement regarding the resumption of services has been made by the DOS."

Does this make sense to anyone else?

As I see it... It's almost as if DOS and nvc don't communicate? Some embassies have started to schedule, but not all. Am I right in saying that only those interviews that were canceled are being scheduled at the moment? Though it doesn't explain nvcs reply to me.

Vj community, your feedback will be of value. Thanks

I have emailed the embassy in Dublin and they gave me an auto-reply basically saying the same as whats on their website, that they closed mid March and will get in touch when they can start rescheduling interviews. Ireland is almost at the end stages of reopening so I'm wondering if they'll open when we are fully open or when the EU travel ban is lifted.
