The trump Administration is planning to pass an Executive Order in the next 24 hours to suspend immigration to America.  While it's unlikely the President will change their mind on the general policy, we believe they may consider a narrow exception for immediate family members of US Citizens, including fiancés.  We've started a petition a the White House which requires 10,000 signatures to get attention and 100,000 signatures to get a formal response.  Please join us by signing the petition at the following link.  We should have the membership to make a solid run at getting enough signatures!

Bloomberg has obtained the draft order

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-21/trump-says-he-ll-suspend-immigration-to-u-s-over-virus-concerns

Quote

A draft of the executive order, obtained earlier by by Bloomberg News, said the suspension would last for 90 days.

The draft order does include exceptions for people seeking jobs in “food production and directly helping to protect the supply chain,” which could apply to farm workers. The ban would also not apply to health care or medical research professionals, according to the draft.

Technology industry workers living in the U.S. on H-1B visas, however, would have to provide updated certifications to the government that they are not displacing American workers. Refugees and asylum seekers would not be affected by the order, nor would spouses and children of U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

We should wait and see. According to:

https://apnews.com/81daf6cce6f75e385e9bb70c349f3995

An administration official familiar with the plans said the order would apply to foreigners seeking employment-based green cards and relatives of green card holders who are not citizens. But Americans who wish to bring immediate family to the country would still be able to do so, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity before the plan was announced. About one million green cards were granted in the 2019 fiscal year, about half to spouses, children and parents of U..S citizens.

Everyone voicing support, please share on social media as well!  We don't know what the EO actually says but this is a great proactive step to speak up at least!  Keeping my wife from joining me "to save jobs" is ridiculous if you're still allowing seasonal/migrant workers to come over.  There are what, a few thousand of us total in the IR1/CR1 queue?

Yeah parents werent mentioned hopefully tomorrow it will be added

I doubt it. This administration does not like chain migration and totally against sponsoring immigrants to come here. They’ll exclude parents for citizens over 21 and siblings. They will include nuclear family (spouse, kids).
